Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill

My fur baby— Bluey is a bit of a “frequent flyer” at the vet due to his breed. We’ve travelled across three states and have had great and not so great experiences with vets in the past. Pure Paws has the most genuinely caring staff I’ve seen in awhile. Their pricing is fair and they take the time to answer all your questions and walk through different treatment options and we really appreciate them and all their hard work!

I had a very disappointing experience with this practice. In my initial appointments, things went smoothly when I was dealing with my two kittens, one of which dealing with major eye issues. We were then referred to a vet optometrist to handle this. A month later, one of my cats was having issues walking. I took both in for separate issues and we did a full viral panel for my cat with walking issues. This was around $1,400 and they told me it would take 3 - 5 days. I had to call almost everyday for 2 and a half weeks to get responses. I understand that my test results were delayed, but this caused me to become incredibly stressed and panicked considering the initial time frame they told me to expect with no communication from the doctor. After all of this, all I was told was to take my cat to a neurologist with no other information. I ended up going back to where I adopted my cats from to get some help and insight and have since switched to a new vet. None of the doctors were especially helpful and I felt isolated at this vet. I am sure they mean well but I was extremely upset and saddened by my experience here.

Wonderful friendly staff! I first brought my little girl to PPCH when she was a teeny 2 month old baby .Fiona is a full grown beautiful 2 year old baby and I still only go to Pure paws for anything we need! They are so helpful and amazing that I had to add to this review! Fiona loves going to the vet which is crazy! A dog loving the vet!? Well my Fi does! Thank you guys wow amazing work!

My dog, Xander, and I have been coming to this vet for over 4 years now. We were in California for about 6 months and decided to go to pure paws again when we got back into town. They are transparent about pricing, doctors are kind and detailed, submit prescriptions in a timely manner, do not mind if you decline any services/medications for cost reasons, and most importantly, the reception staff are lovely. The people who answer the phones and emails are always kind, patient and thorough. It may be hard to get an appointment here, but that’s because they’re truly worth it.

Pure Paws were very friendly and knowledgeable. My kitties relaxed with the staff because they were in good hands.

Dr. Slome and the team here are the best vet experience we’ve ever had. We’ve been to other vets that are hard to reach, afraid of our big dog, and foster a cold environment. We are so happy to have found a vet that is easy to talk to, has reasonable prices, and treats our dog with lots of love and kindness.

Very kind and very friendly staff and Vet. I was impressed with the care my nine year old pup received. the visit was for a checkup, vax update, and nails clipped. And the vet called the next morning to see how she was doing. Recommend without reservation.
