It's only been 2 visits to Prospect Heights Animal Hospital to get checkups for my newly adopted rescue, Charlie, but I'm so impressed by the level of professionalism, organization, care, and communication by the staff here. I never leave reviews, but as a new dog parent, reviews have been my guide, and I'm happy to share my positive experience to empower others in their decision-making process. Dr. Umana is thorough and great with Charlie and answers all of my questions with patience and thoughtfulness. I think my pup is in excellent hands here and I feel lucky they're in the neighborhood.

Oct 09, 2024 · E M CWhat a lovely clinic! Everyone, from the front office staff to the nurses to the doctors have been welcoming, kind, and wonderful to work with. My foster dog Jasmine needed a mass to be biopsied and removed and they were so helpful with walking me through different options for her care and following up after her surgery. I feel like their pricing is fair and transparent, especially when you consider the costs of maintaining a practice in a HCOL area like NYC. I’m so grateful to have PHAH in the neighborhood!
Feb 07, 2025 · Sasha BanDr. Arroyo is such a kind , informative and attentive vet . She has been so supportive and knoledgable about navigating my dog recent challenges with seizures . She is very thorough and contacts you if you have questions and leave her a mesaage . Very appreciative of her care . I've been going to PHAH for almost five years and saw different vets at this and the Crown Heights location , and she is by far the best !
Jan 16, 2025 · Rachel Taylor MoralesI brought my cat in for an appointment and testing, immediately after the test they told me they submitted a non-sterile sample. I thought: seems weird, but maybe that's normal for pets? Despite being non-sterile, the test came back negative for bacteria but they prescribed antibiotics anyway. After the antibiotic treatment didn't help, they wanted me to come back to redo the test because it was faulty. I asked if I would be charged for this given that they decided to submit the faulty test and they said yes. I submitted feedback about the experience in their online portal and how I was looking to go to a different vet for the issue and a few days later I found that my account had been deleted and I was no longer able to access my cat's medical record. Overall, it's hard to trust their medical advice given the need to redo the test, let alone being charged for both visits. And then closing my account without my asking was bizarre. Hoping this post saves someone else the trouble.
Dec 18, 2024 · Hannah MasugaWe’ve used PHAH for over a decade for a cat and dog. Facility is organized, clean and welcoming. Attendants and doctors are sensitive with our pets and go over details thoroughly. They’ve been flexible in finding solutions for visits. Front desk help is courteous.
Oct 22, 2024 · D BEvery experience I’ve had here is positive. Easy scheduling, efficient front desk, and caring vets and techs. You do get a different vet most times, but it’s never affected our care. Highly recommend, and my elderly cat likes it too.
