I took a cat here that I had rescued off the streets 3-4 days before. I’d come here before and had a good experience with Dr Cohen. But on this particular day Dr Caroline Balch saw my cat, Simba, who was doing great even right off the street. He had the sniffles and some other things going on but he was in great spirits in my home and eating and cuddly despite being right off the street and needing care. Within 24 hours of seeing the vet Simba began to decline hugely. He was shaking and having seizures. It was terrible to watch. I’m positive it was the convenia Dr Balch gave him. It was totally unnecessary because Convenia is not for respiratory infections at all and Simba could have easily been given the appropriate oral meds. Convenia is dangerous and overused and is only for skin infections which Simba didn’t have. I ended up spending $3K on Simba the following 5 days and in hospitals every night. He even had seizures on the seizure meds. They couldn’t find anything that could have caused this. I blame the Dr completely for killing my cat by trying to pad the bill with convenia. Simba suffered hugely and it was so terrible. I ended up having to euthanize him which was so painful but I couldn’t watch him suffer like that. I told them that it was their fault and I wanted the hospital costs covered and they didn’t get back to me. It was all so heart breaking. Simba didn’t deserve to die like this. These vets should not be pumping animals with dangerous drugs just to make some extra money! Drugs that the animal doesn’t even need! It’s absolute abuse. Here I am trying to help animals out of the kindness of my heart and Dr Balch just sees me as someone that she can run up a huge bill with. Ugh I’m so disgusted. RIP Simba. Nothing will replace this beauty. The pic of him below is before and after I took him- within 24 hours his face was sunken in, he had massive amounts of drool coming from his mouth (which I cleaned before the photo), he was in obvious pain and didn’t even recognize me, and he couldn’t even stand without tipping over. Shame on this establishment.

Dec 17, 2024 · Angela DeRosaCame across Goodvets one day when my 15 year old dog got sick. Our other vet was closed on a Thursday, so I called Goodvets and they took me in on a last minute appointment. Dr. Cohen and her team was the best and did everything they could to figure out what was going on with my dog (even when the clock hit 6 past closing time). Unfortunately, we made the decision to put my dog to rest and I’m so thankful we got to do that with the most loving/comforting dr. and staff.
Oct 06, 2024 · Courtney AtiyehThey always take such good care of my dog Margo! Appointments are available whenever you need. And they took me immediately when I had an emergency last week after she was unfortunately attacked by another dog. The wellness plan is also so worth it. Thank you to the whole team from me and Margo ❤️
Oct 03, 2024 · Megan ZangenehOur puppy got into some medications, and we brought her in with no appointment. They very calmly handled the situation, knew exactly what to do, induced vomiting, hooked her up to an IV, and kept her under observation for the day. She walked out of the vet clinic that afternoon like nothing had happened. They saved our puppy’s life.
Aug 20, 2024 · Maggie AriasWe love GoodVets! Dr. Emily Abraham is a truly amazing vet—incredibly knowledgeable and caring. We’ve seen her at this location and the Coral Gables location. All of her staff are friendly and professional. We highly recommend GoodVets!
