My dog Sunshine LOVES the Westlake Village dog park. It's my favorite dog park as well. There's a human drinking fountain and a dog drinking fountain. There are benches in the sun and tables with seating in the shade. It's on the smaller side, but still plenty big enough for dogs to run and fetch. The entrance is secure. There's a separate side for smaller dogs, so they don't get scared or run over by the bigger dogs (like my golden). It's a newer dog park, and the location is great! Plus everyone we've met there has been really nice, humans and dogs alike. Just a tip: there have been a couple of times that we've gone and the park has been unexpectedly closed.

Welcome to Westlake Village Dog Park

For dog owners residing in Westlake Village, California, and throughout the scenic Conejo Valley, the Westlake Village Dog Park stands out as a highly cherished and frequently visited community amenity. It’s more than just a place for dogs to run; it's a vibrant hub where canine companions can socialize safely off-leash, and their human counterparts can connect with fellow pet enthusiasts. Located conveniently on Oak Crest Drive, this park has quickly become a local favorite, earning praise for its thoughtful design and the friendly atmosphere it fosters.

As one satisfied owner exclaimed, their dog "Sunshine LOVES the Westlake Village dog park," a sentiment echoed by many. The park strikes a perfect balance: it's "on the smaller side, but still plenty big enough for dogs to run and fetch," offering ample space without being so vast that owners lose sight of their pets. This careful sizing ensures both freedom for the dogs and peace of mind for their guardians. The commitment to safety is evident with its secure entrance and separate, clearly defined areas for small and large dogs. This thoughtful division prevents smaller, more timid pups from being overwhelmed by larger, more boisterous breeds, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Being a "newer dog park," it benefits from modern amenities and a design that prioritizes cleanliness and user comfort. Reviews frequently highlight the presence of both human and dog drinking fountains, along with shaded seating options, which are crucial in California's sunny climate. Beyond the physical attributes, the community itself is a major draw. Visitors consistently report that "everyone we've met there has been really nice, humans and dogs alike," cultivating a welcoming and respectful environment that makes every visit enjoyable. While occasional closures for maintenance are a tip for new visitors to note, the overall experience at Westlake Village Dog Park firmly establishes it as a beloved cornerstone of the local pet-friendly landscape.

Location and Accessibility

The Westlake Village Dog Park is ideally situated at 31400 Oak Crest Dr, Westlake Village, CA 91361, USA. Its location is a significant advantage for residents of Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, and other nearby communities within the Conejo Valley. I love this park and Happy did too! We come by for about 15-20 minutes everyday and there are so many nice people here. I have yet to meet a dog owner who doesn’t control their dog. Is always clean as well!

It's a beautiful neighborhood bark park. Don't bring food, small children or dogs that haven't been spayed. Come to socialize or just relax.
