Welcome to West Hollywood Park Dog Park

For dog owners in West Hollywood, California, and surrounding Los Angeles communities, West Hollywood Park Dog Park stands as a shining example of a truly outstanding off-leash facility. Nestled within the expansive and modern West Hollywood Park complex, this dog park consistently receives accolades for its thoughtful design, cleanliness, and the superior experience it offers to both canine and human visitors. It's not just a patch of grass; it's a meticulously maintained urban oasis designed for optimal canine happiness and human comfort.

What immediately sets West Hollywood Park Dog Park apart is its innovative use of artificial turf. As one delighted visitor raves, "It has artificial turf that is very well maintained—always clean and free of urine or poop smells, keeping dogs clean and safe from paw injuries." This synthetic surface not only ensures a consistently clean and odor-free environment, but it also provides a soft, forgiving surface that protects delicate paws, distinguishing it from many other parks that feature dirt or natural grass. This commitment to cleanliness and safety underscores why many consider it "One of the best off-leash dog parks. 🐾"

Beyond the pristine playing surface, the park’s layout is designed with canine dynamics in mind. It thoughtfully includes separate, fully fenced areas for large and small dogs, ensuring that all pups can play comfortably and safely with peers of appropriate size and energy levels. "Really enjoyed the small dog section. Very friendly crowd and plenty of shade to hide on a hot sunny day ☀️🐕," notes another happy user. This separation fosters positive interactions and peace of mind for owners. Combined with ample amenities like excellent water fountains, shaded seating, and provided waste bags, West Hollywood Park Dog Park truly delivers on its promise of a superior dog park experience in the heart of the city.

Location and Accessibility

West Hollywood Park Dog Park is prominently located at 647 N San Vicente Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA. This address places it directly within the larger West Hollywood Park, a central and easily recognizable landmark in the city. Its location near Santa Monica Boulevard and the Pacific Design Center makes it highly accessible for residents of West Hollywood and neighboring areas.

Accessibility to the park is excellent due to its central location and surrounding urban infrastructure. While dedicated on-site parking at the dog park itself is not usually available, West Hollywood Park offers a multi-story parking structure, the Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC) Garage, which provides convenient paid parking. Street parking, both metered and residential (with restrictions), is also available in the vicinity. For those relying on public transportation, numerous Metro bus lines serve the area, and West Hollywood's "The PickUp" free trolley service offers a convenient way to navigate the city, often with stops near the park. The dog park itself is fully fenced with clear entry points. The park is open daily, generally from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., offering extensive hours for visitors, though it's important to note that the dog parks may have temporary closures for maintenance or special events. Its location within a modern public park complex also means it benefits from overall good accessibility features.

This dog park is a great place for people to bring their pets. There are two separate dog parks, one for large dogs and one for small ones. Each has seating areas for the humans and a water fountain for dogs and water bottles. There is construction going on in the adjacent basketball courts. The rest of the park is open except the stairs to the pool.

Winnie is at her happiest when she's playing with her friends at this dog park and it's super clean compared to every other dog park I've ever been to. Also it's right near a few free parking lots on Santa Monica blvd (pavilions) so if you don't wanna pay a couple bucks to park in the library parking garage you can just walk across the street to avoid paying $$
