Services Offered

St. Stephens Park & Dog Park provides a range of essential services and amenities designed to ensure a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for all visitors:

  • Spacious Fenced Off-Leash Area: The park features a generous 1-acre fenced off-leash dog park, offering plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and burn off energy freely. This expansive space is a major highlight for active pups.

  • Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs: To cater to dogs of all sizes and temperaments, the park includes a dedicated section specifically for dogs under 30 lbs. This separation helps ensure a safer and less overwhelming environment for smaller, more timid dogs, while allowing larger dogs their own robust play space.

  • Waste Stations with Poop Bags: To promote cleanliness and responsible pet ownership, the park provides waste stations, typically equipped with poop bags and disposal bins. This makes it easy for owners to clean up after their pets, contributing to a pleasant environment for everyone.

  • Shaded Areas: The park offers a good mix of sun and shade. This is particularly beneficial during North Carolina's warmer months, providing cool spots for dogs and owners to rest and escape the direct sunlight.

  • Benches and Seating: For human companions, benches and picnic tables are available throughout the dog park and the broader St. Stephens Park. These seating areas offer comfortable spots to relax, observe your dog, and socialize with other dog owners.

  • Double-Gated Entry: For enhanced security and to prevent accidental escapes, the dog park utilizes a double-gated entry system, allowing owners to safely transition their dogs into and out of the off-leash areas.

Nicely kept park with plenty of running space for your 4 legged friend. It has a built-in agility course, and some of the pieces are adjustable for height. Nice group of folks first thing in the morning usually, very friendly with great dogs.

This is an all around great park for the pups! There are regular visitors that we have gotten to know, so both the dogs and the people have a friend! The grass is short and the park is well maintained. There are clean restrooms and brand new playground equipment.
