I have traveled a bit in the last 3 years and have seen many parks but nothing compares to this park. I’m not sure the locals realize how lucky they are! EVERYTHING is well thought out and perfectly executed. *There is a dog park with beautiful covered seating on the big dog side and benches on the little dogs side that stays shaded all day, a dozen or so tennis balls, poopy bags provided (please use them) and water spigots in each area. *There’s a children’s play area with so many different things to play on or climb on that is fenced in. AMAZING for curious littles that like to wander and parents with multiple children (this is just a GREAT feature to feel that your children are safe and contained). *There is an incredible skate park from a Tony Hawk grant. It was used every time we went to the park during our stay. I especially loved seeing fathers and sons skating. *There’s a sloped down area like a smaller soccer play area or kickball, tag whatever. With the whole thing being dug lower, parents can sit at the top all the way around the ‘field’ and watch the kids from either the picnic table in the gazebo or the porch swings (YES!! they have 2 porch swings!!), byo chairs or just sit on the astro turf and watch the kids run the energy out of them. *The ENTIRE park is astro turfed where grass would be and it’s beautiful. There are benches, drinking fountains and trash cans sporadically placed. The drinking fountains are handicapped accessible. There is a sidewalk that runs through and around the park for easy walking as well as handicapped accessibility (but note that the dog park area and the playground have wood chips) There is plenty of parking in the lot and along the street. I just can’t say enough about how nice this park is! I hope that future city employees make sure that it is kept up and that future generations of kids don’t destroy the gift they’ve been given. If I am ever back this way I will for sure bring my pups to the park again. Thank you LaGrange for caring so much about your citizens. Edited to add: I didn’t realize there is another picnic table in the children’s play area, the water bottle fountain by the bathroom or the recycling bins. Also the sloped area of the soccer practice area isn’t as deep as I thought. It’s only on one side. Maybe it’s for rolling down the hill lol. I’m also adding pics

Very nice dog park! We have 2 labs and they totally had a good time. We travel around a lot so we always look for dog parks. Would definitely come back when we are in this area. Went there twice during our visit. One day was a Saturday and had music from a nearby brewery so that was a plus.
