Great park. Has lots of space for doggies to roam. Great tires and tunnels for dogs to play on. The evenings tend to be much busier than mid day, so if you are worried about your dog interacting with a bunch of dogs at once, then I would recommend trying to go at mid day rather than evening. It also tends to be full of large dogs that are energetic and love to play. There is no size limit here (largest dog I've seen is 120 lbs but most are around 45-70lbs), so if you own a small dog that doesn't want to play with large dogs, then I would recommend going mid day or finding somewhere else to take them. These dogs are here to play. My dog is a 13 lb Chihuahua mix, but she adores playing with dogs of all sizes, so I bring her in the evenings. She loves to jump up on the tires.

Welcome to Shane Kelly Bark Park
For dog owners in Florida, particularly those in Oviedo and surrounding communities in Seminole County, finding a fantastic spot where their canine companions can truly thrive is a top priority. Shane Kelly Bark Park is just that – a dynamic and expansive off-leash dog park that consistently receives high praise for its size, engaging features, and the vibrant atmosphere it offers to both pups and their people. If your dog loves to run, jump, and play with other energetic canines, this park is an absolute must-visit destination in Central Florida.
Florida's beautiful weather encourages outdoor activity, and Shane Kelly Bark Park provides the perfect setting for dogs to enjoy it to the fullest. Reviewers rave about the "lots of space for doggies to roam," indicating that even high-energy dogs can get a thorough workout. This isn't a small, cramped enclosure; it's a generous area where dogs can truly stretch their legs, chase balls, and engage in joyful, uninhibited play. For dogs that are "runners," this park is a dream come true, offering ample room to hit top speeds.
What truly sets Shane Kelly Bark Park apart is its energetic vibe and the variety of play opportunities it presents. Beyond just open space, it features "tires and tunnels for dogs to play on" and "lots of agility training or skills for your pup or dog to learn on." This means your dog can not only run but also engage their minds and bodies with stimulating obstacles, adding a fun dimension to their visit. The park tends to be "full of large dogs that are energetic and love to play," creating a lively environment for social pups. Even smaller dogs, like a 13 lb Chihuahua mix mentioned by a reviewer, can adore playing with larger dogs and enjoy the agility equipment, though owners of small, timid dogs might find midday visits more suitable if they prefer less interaction with larger, boisterous canines.
The park also considers the comfort of human companions, offering "benches & shade" for owners to relax and observe their playing pups. While it's noted that "No toys" are provided, this encourages owners to bring their dog's favorites, ensuring personalized play. Overall, Shane Kelly Bark Park provides an exciting, active, and well-equipped environment that caters to the physical and social needs of energetic dogs, making it a highly valued amenity for Oviedo's pet-loving community.

Aug 09, 2024 · Free Spirit SoulGreat secret dog park away from vehicles. Not much shade to be had. Lots of obstacles for dogs. A few benches & tables for adults. No small dog area but all dogs have been super pleasant and friendly. Has an obstacle course for dogs nearby you can sign up for. Bathrooms at the neighboring park with ball fields.
Mar 26, 2024 · Alisha AmundsonGreat dog park! Decided to give my dog a new experience and drove a little further than our normal park. He really enjoyed all of the features, including the tunnels.
Feb 11, 2025 · Alex SlayBig and small dogs in the same area! The big dogs were a little too aggressive for my smaller dogs. I wish they had a sperate area like other dog parks, big / small. Location is a little bit out of the way, but nice setup.
