Excellently maintained park with large, fenced areas with plenty of space for dogs to run and play. There are four sections. Two of them are for bigger dogs, and the other two for smaller dogs. There are plenty of dog park regulars at most hours of the day, so there’s nearly always a furry friend there to play with your dog(s). Some evenings, on fair weather days, it’s common for there to be 30+ dogs in the big dog section of the park with plenty of space to spare, so it doesn’t even feel overly crowded. Most owners are decent with their dogs and there have been minimal incidents with aggressive or scary dogs. But like all public dog parks, be aware and attentive to your pet and how it is interacting with other dogs. If it rained recently, the park can have muddy sections. The park also kindly provides waste bins and poop bag stations. Really a great environment! Favorite dog park I’ve visited in DFW so far

This means dog owners can extend their outing beyond the fenced park, enjoying scenic walks or runs along the popular Campion Trail, either before or after their off-leash playtime. Paws Colinas is open from "sunrise to sunset," year-round, with closures kept to a minimum (primarily for heavy rain or maintenance to preserve the turf). As a public park managed by the City of Irving and the Las Colinas Association, Paws Colinas Dog Park does not typically offer commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. Its primary benefit to the community is its provision as a free, accessible, and high-quality public space for canine recreation.
However, Paws Colinas Dog Park is a significant venue for community-focused events, particularly those organized by the Las Colinas Association or Irving Marathon Running Series. A notable annual event is the "Paws Colinas 5K-9 Presented by Las Colinas Association." This exciting event, which in 2026 is scheduled for "October 24-31" with the main race typically around "8:00 AM CDT," invites "Pups and pup parents" to team up for a 5K run/walk. It's a "tail-wagging good time" that includes a "Pup and human costume contest," "Fabulous swag giveaways," a "Live DJ," "Delicious food and drinks," "Complimentary pet treats for tricks," and awards for top finishers and best-dressed dogs. Other community events, like "Wags & Kisses Pop-Up" events (featuring themed photo ops and pup caricatures), may also be held at the park, enhancing its role as a community hub. Information on these special events is usually available through the Las Colinas Association website, Irving Marathon Running Series, or Visit Irving.
