Promotions or Special Offers

As a public facility managed by the City of Janesville's Parks and Recreation Division, Paw Print Dog Park doesn't typically offer commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional retail sense. Instead, its "offers" come in the form of its accessible permit system and the inherent value it provides as a community amenity.

  • Annual Permits for Value: To use Paw Print Dog Park, owners must purchase a permit tag. The cost for an annual permit for the first dog is $20, with an additional $5 for each additional dog. This provides unlimited access for a calendar year (January 1 - December 31), offering significant value for frequent visitors. There's also a discounted rate of $10 for the first dog if the owner is age 60 or older.
  • Daily Use Tags: For those visiting less frequently, or perhaps just passing through Janesville on a road trip, a daily use tag costs $3. This provides flexibility and allows casual visitors to enjoy the park's amenities without committing to an annual pass.
  • Required Pet Licensing: Before a Paw Print Park permit can be purchased, dogs must have a current City of Janesville dog license. These licenses are $15 for spayed or neutered animals and $25 for unspayed/unneutered animals. While this is a separate requirement, it's a necessary step to access the park and ensures a community of responsible, vaccinated dogs.
  • "Awesome Finding Places Like This on a Road Trip": As one customer review noted, the park itself is a "find" for those traveling. The readily available daily passes make it an attractive and easy stop for dog owners on the go, effectively serving as a "special offer" of convenience and quality during travel.
  • Inherent Health and Social Benefits: The most significant, ongoing "promotion" is the immeasurable health and social benefits the park provides for your dog. It's a place to burn calories, improve cardiovascular health, reduce anxiety through play, and foster positive social interactions with other dogs. This intrinsic value is a continuous "offer" to pet owners committed to their dog's well-being.

Permits can be obtained from the Clerk-Treasurer's Office or the Parks & Recreation Division at Janesville City Hall (18 N. Jackson Street). Self-registration with daily pass envelopes may also be available at the park itself. It's always best to check the City of Janesville's official website for the most current permit requirements and fees.

What a great dog park! It has a nice size area for small dogs with water and the large area has a few different walking paths, also with water. There is just so much walking space at this dog park & it's very well maintained - if you go, make sure to take an envelope & donate - it's awesome finding places like this on a road trip. My dog loved it!

We loved it, poop bags every where so you don’t let any logs behind, a lot of small trails, dogos friendly and you can also find some shade if you need it

Large fenced area for my dog Daisy to run around and clean trails for humans to roam! There are numerous stations with poop bags so there’s no excuse not to pick up after your dog. The re are two first aid stations, several sitting/ resting benches, a separate area for the little ankle biters, a basic restroom in the lot and plenty of water bowls throughout the lot! Everyone we met was extremely friendly! This will definitely be our favorite stop next time we’re in Janesville!

Very large area for big dogs to run and play. Trail along the perimeter that is about mile- 1 1/2. Wish it was a 24hr park though. Con is there are some aggressive dogs that show up and most people like to just walk the trail with dogs off leash instead of letting the dogs play. Daily or yearly fee. (Edit) for anyone that complains about the woman that use to take care of the park... She retired at the beginning of the year. Aggressive dogs have increased along with their orders being aggressive and people are not paying the fees. Watch out for people that come into the park W/O dogs, one woman did and was using a high pitched app on her phone and provoked my dog to investigate and approach her then tried to say Mika was going to bite and she was calling the cops. The city needs to get the park patrol back out ASAP. No more agility stuff :( . Nicer area for the large pools and the small dog area. Maintenance could be a bit better with more cut trails.
