Great location. Great space for dogs. Water faucet/dispenser very slow. The best dog park water dispensers slow drain out so there's always fresh water, this one didn't so the water was pretty disgusting when we arrived, Luckily we had a Frisbee for him to drink from. The biggest downside to this park is the wood chips. I would recommend closed toe shoes here and booties for your dogs feet. Their feet can be just as sensitive to splinters as ours. Plenty of parking. If you have an active dog like we do, plan on a park with grass. If you like to mostly be alone with your dog, this park is good because it doesn't appear many people go here. Otherwise, this is a great big park for other activities. 5 Stars if there was grass.

Welcome to Pantera Dog Park
For dog owners in Diamond Bar, California, and surrounding communities, finding a dedicated, well-kept space for their canine companions to run freely and socialize is a cherished convenience. Pantera Dog Park, situated within the expansive Pantera Park at 738 Pantera Dr, stands as a valuable local resource. It’s more than just a designated area; it’s a vital community spot where Diamond Bar pups can shed their leashes, stretch their legs, and interact with other dogs, all within a secure and managed environment. This park embodies Diamond Bar's commitment to providing essential recreational opportunities for its beloved furry residents, making it a key destination for responsible pet ownership in the area.
What truly makes Pantera Dog Park a favored destination for many locals is its thoughtful design and robust infrastructure. The park consists of "2 enclosures," specifically catering to different canine sizes: "one for small (under 25 lbs) and one for large dogs." This crucial division ensures that pups of all sizes and temperaments can enjoy their playtime safely and comfortably, fostering a more harmonious environment for all. This separation is particularly important for owners of smaller or more timid dogs, providing peace of mind as their pets play without intimidation from larger, more boisterous breeds.
The park is described as "well kept and good size for your pooch to roam around." The large dog area spans 0.6 acres, while the small dog area is 0.3 acres, providing ample space for dogs to run, chase, and explore. The ground is covered with "six-inches of wood fiber (similar to wooden chips that are used for playgrounds)." While some users might prefer grass, as noted in a review stating, "5 Stars if there was grass" and recommending "booties for your dogs feet" due to potential splinters, the wood chips are regularly replenished by the city, indicating consistent maintenance.
Pantera Dog Park also benefits from its location within the larger Pantera Park, which offers additional recreational amenities. The park provides "plenty of parking," a significant advantage in any popular public space. This ease of access contributes to a stress-free visit for dog owners. Moreover, being adjacent to the "Pantera Trail" offers the opportunity for a leashed walk or hike before or after off-leash play, providing a comprehensive outdoor experience for active dogs and their owners. While one review suggests it "doesn't appear many people go here" if you "like to mostly be alone with your dog," other descriptions highlight it as a "lovely dog park," suggesting it balances quiet moments with opportunities for socialization, depending on the time of visit.
The overall sentiment from locals points to a functional and appreciated space. While the "water faucet/dispenser very slow" and the water can sometimes be "disgusting" if not flushed, this highlights a minor operational detail rather than a fundamental flaw. The park's core offering—a safe, segregated, and sufficiently sized off-leash area with convenient amenities—solidifies its reputation as a valuable asset for Diamond Bar's dog-owning community. It is a place where dogs can truly enjoy themselves and owners can relax in a dedicated environment.

The park's proximity to the "Pantera Trail" (right next to the small dog section) offers an added dimension of accessibility for those who enjoy combining off-leash play with a leashed walk or hike. This provides a comprehensive outdoor experience, making Pantera Dog Park a versatile destination for active dogs and their owners in Diamond Bar.

Jul 14, 2024 · Martin TLovely dog park in Diamond Bar. There are 2 enclosures, one for small (under 25 lbs) and one for large dogs. Well kept and good size for your pooch to roam around.
Aug 31, 2022 · Joe ReyesThe park is great! The only reason that I give one star is that one incident happened this weekend. There is a very rude male couple who has 2 aggressive Huskys. One is black, one in white. The black one bite my dog and I saw it directly. There was more than one witness who saw it as well. This male couple did not say any apology and even questioned us to show the evidence to them. They were talking with very poor attitude with under-educated words. The park should ban them from coming to this park, this is a threat to our community.
Jun 20, 2022 · GotCare OrgA very nice park. Our dog enjoys the dog park as well. Some nice hiking trails here too.
