Orange Park Dog Park is a cherished local resource, specifically designed to provide a safe and engaging off-leash experience for dogs of all sizes. The park is thoughtfully divided into separate areas for larger and smaller breeds, a crucial feature that ensures a comfortable and secure play environment for every pup. This segregation allows timid small dogs to enjoy themselves without feeling overwhelmed, while larger, more energetic dogs can romp freely in their designated space.

The community's affection for this park is evident in the positive feedback from regular visitors. One happy owner shared, "I love this little park. My little 28lbs dog enjoys the interaction with other dogs. He sniffs around and runs for 1 hour. Then we go home. The area is very clean." This sentiment is echoed by another reviewer who noted, "So much thoughtful planning and a great effort was made to design and build this dog park. The commitment to upkeep is also appreciated: "A special thanks to the employees who keep the trash moving and for the upkeep of the park. Great job! Thank you." These testimonials underscore the park's dedication to providing a high-quality, enjoyable, and clean experience for Orange Park's furry residents and their families.

Orange Park Dog Park is well-equipped with essential services and thoughtful amenities designed to enhance the experience for both dogs and their owners:

  • Separate Large and Small Dog Areas: As a standout feature, the park provides distinct, securely fenced sections for dogs based on their size, ensuring safer and more comfortable play for all.
  • Ample Off-Leash Space: Both the large and small dog sections offer generous areas, allowing dogs plenty of room to run, play, and interact freely without leashes (once inside the designated fenced areas).
  • Shaded Canopy: A significant benefit, particularly in Florida's warm climate, is the natural canopy of trees that provides ample shade, keeping the park cooler and more refreshing, especially during summer.
  • Pet Waste Stations: Throughout the park, readily available pet waste bags and disposal receptacles are provided, encouraging responsible clean-up and maintaining a hygienic environment.
  • Water Access: While specific details about permanent water fountains can vary, user reviews suggest that water is often available or encouraged to be brought, and the park is designed with hydration in mind, crucial for active dogs in the Florida heat.

Thank you Orange Park 🐕 So much thoughtful planning and a great effort was made to design and build this dog park. It is convenient and the dogs and dog parents are very friendly and considerate. The canopy of trees keeps the park cool and refreshing in the summer heat. A special thanks to the employees who keep the trash moving and for the upkeep of the park. Great job! Thank you. One observation to consider for your dogs safety. Each time that I visit this park I will find shards of glass. Please help me in my efforts to keep our four-legged family safe and unharmed from injuries from this glass. If there should be an accident or injury, Kingsley Animal Hospital is only minutes away.

Super cute free fenced in dog park double gated

Mar 26, 2025 · Hailey

I am happy to see there's a dog park in Orange Park that is free. Recently, they added benches inside the dog area and a double gate before going in the the dog area.

It's free. Good for small dogs. There is a water fountain outside of the fence which is a bit of an inconvenience. We were the only ones there, which was nice.
