Nov 14, 2024 · Rafael TorresWe love bringing our dogs here to play. So much space for pups to run around. The park district takes good care of the grounds to make sure the dogs are safe. It’s worth the application and permit fee to have access here. We live about 10 minutes away and frequent here Atleast 2-3 times a week. You also get access to two other fantastic parks within the park district system.
Dec 12, 2023 · Ryan BringasThis is a nice place and well worth the $60 a year for the controlled admission to three Cook County Forest Preserve dog parks. I had seven acres to myself today. Sometimes a few other vaccinated dogs are here to run with my dog. It's a serene place.
Jun 02, 2023 · Mike Dwyer7 acres to run free. My dog cannot live without this park. Dog owners typically do a good job of maintaining their dog while letting them sort it out when possible. There's always someone who isn't as on top of it but for the most part it's a good community.
Feb 19, 2025 · Luke RaadThis is a fantastic dog park because it It’s a huge fenced-in GRASS field. You do need a pass to get in, but once you do that it’s worth it. This by far the biggest dog park I have ever been to in the area, and the only one with grass rather than gravel, dirt, or wood chips. It has a large cement patio at the entrance that is covered and has two picnics table in the shade, with more scattered throughout the park. There are also several large trees for shade throughout. The patio has a few scattered water bowls but no tap or restrooms so you have to bring your own water. There are usually a few tennis balls around. The field is large enough for you to take a long walk around the perimeter and there’s enough space for dogs to run and play together. Besides needing a pass to open the electronic door lock, there are also two large muddy puddles that have been there both times I have been there and they are deep, so I recommend bringing towels and only come here when you have time to give your dog a full body wash afterwards if they love water like mine does.
