Its primary "offer" is providing a free and accessible space for dog owners to exercise and socialize their pets. Public parks generally operate on the principle of universal access for all residents and visitors, funded through public taxes and community support rather than commercial incentives.
However, the value offered by the park could be considered a continuous "special offer" to the community:
- Free Admission: There is no charge to enter or use Franklin Terrace Off-Leash Dog Park. This makes it an incredibly cost-effective way for dog owners to provide their pets with essential exercise and social interaction.
- Health and Wellness Benefits: The park offers a direct benefit to the health and well-being of dogs by providing a safe space for vigorous exercise, which is crucial for preventing obesity and behavioral issues. This is a valuable, ongoing "service" that contributes to healthier pets and happier owners.
- Community Building: The park fosters a sense of community among local dog owners, providing a place to connect, share experiences, and support one another. This social aspect is an intangible but highly valued benefit.
- Stress Relief for Owners: For many dog owners, watching their dogs joyfully play and interact is a significant stress reliever. The park offers an escape from daily routines and a chance to unwind in a pleasant outdoor setting.

Mar 12, 2025 · John BergmanThis is a conveniently located dog park for myself and our puppy - Leo. My partner and I both love that you can sit and see the entire dog park (to keep an eye on Leo). But it’s not too small that he can’t run around and get all of that energy out. They have two entrances with amble free parking on all of the streets.
May 15, 2019 · Gabriel HansonMost of the dog owners are young amd irresponsible and just sit on their phones. A person's dog attacked mine and another dog and refused to leave.
May 19, 2025 · AngelaIt's a cute little park. My dog is 14 and it was big enough for him to walk around once and get tired. I saw to younger dogs chasing each other and having fun. It's a very flat surface. They do require a permit to use though.
Nov 02, 2022 · Deanna Lynn PolingThis is one of our favorite dog parks to go to. It is a decent size maybe 1.5 acres with a lot of trees and shade. This park can get muddy if there is a lot of rain or snow melt but there is usually a thick layer of wood chips. Bring water! There is no convenient water source. There is a spigot near the river side gate but it is not always on. This park is relatively busy and you can almost always find at least one other dog there. I will warn though… there are quite a few of very strange and particular owners that frequent this park. I have seen multiple dog fights, untrained dogs, and owners here, but we usually just leave if things get weird.
