Please do NOT take your dog here if you care about their feet! I had wish someone told us what I'm about to tell you before bringing my dogs here. This "dog park" is in the parking lot of a Kia dealership. There are no trails or anything of the sort around this park, it's literally a dog run on a dealerships parking lot. It looks run down and has a dark gravel and astro turf foundation. We took out dogs here and the ground in the "dog park" was way way too hot for them to walk or stand on. There is no shade, water fountain, or anything to protect your dogs from the sun. You can tell that the other reviews must have been when this place was brand new because now it looks run down quite a bit. It was a waste of time driving out to this place and I definitely do not recommend it.

Welcome to Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park

For dog owners in Colorado, finding a suitable and safe place for their furry companions to exercise is a common priority. The Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park in Longmont presents a unique case, as it鈥檚 situated in a rather unconventional location: within the premises of a car dealership. While the idea of a dog park at a dealership might initially sound convenient, it's crucial for local dog owners to have a clear and factual understanding of what this particular "dog park" offers, especially from the perspective of fellow Colorado residents who have visited it.

This space, known as the Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park, is presented as an amenity, likely intended to offer a place for pets while owners are at the dealership. However, public feedback suggests that its current state and suitability for general dog park use may be limited. While the concept of integrating pet-friendly amenities into commercial spaces is laudable, the practical execution and current conditions of this specific dog park have drawn mixed, and at times, critical reviews from the local dog-owning community. It's vital to assess whether this location aligns with your expectations for a comprehensive and comfortable dog park experience for your beloved canine companion, particularly when considering factors like ground surface, shade, and overall environment.

The Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park is located at 10258 E I-25 Frontage Rd, Longmont, CO 80504, USA. This address places it directly adjacent to the I-25 highway, within the parking lot of a Kia dealership. Its location on a frontage road means it's easily accessible by car for those traveling on I-25 or from nearby areas of Longmont and surrounding towns. However, the context of its location is critical to understand its accessibility and environment. It is described by some as "literally a dog run on a dealerships parking lot," indicating that it is not a standalone park with surrounding green spaces or trails. This means that if you're looking for a dog park nestled in nature or connected to extensive walking paths, this location will likely not meet those expectations. Access is directly from the dealership's parking area, and while convenient for dealership customers, it presents a very different experience than a typical municipal dog park. There are no expansive natural areas for walking or exploring beyond the designated dog run itself. Therefore, accessibility should be considered in terms of vehicular convenience to the dealership, rather than as a recreational destination integrated into a larger park system or natural setting.

Given its unique setting within a car dealership, the "services offered" by the Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park are those typically associated with a basic dog run amenity rather than a full-service public park. While detailed official lists of services are not readily available in public data beyond its existence, based on user reviews, the park primarily offers:

  • Designated Off-Leash Area: The core "service" is providing a fenced space where dogs can be off-leash. This is intended to allow dogs to stretch and relieve themselves while their owners conduct business at the dealership.
  • Gravel and Astroturf Surface: The ground is composed of a "dark gravel and astro turf foundation." This is the primary surface available for dogs to walk and play on within the designated area.

It is crucial to note what services are *not* typically offered or are reportedly lacking based on user feedback:

  • No Water Fountain: According to reviews, there is "no water fountain," meaning owners must bring their own water for their pets.
  • No Shade: There is "no shade" provided within the park, which is a significant consideration, especially during sunny Colorado days.
  • No Trails or Surrounding Green Space: It does not offer any "trails or anything of the sort around this park," reinforcing its nature as a confined dog run rather than a recreational park with diverse walking opportunities.
  • Limited Amenities for Dog Comfort: Beyond the basic fenced area, there appear to be minimal additional amenities for dog comfort or engagement.

Therefore, visitors should manage expectations and come prepared with their own water and possibly consider the weather conditions due to the lack of shade and potentially hot ground surfaces.

The Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park, while serving a specific purpose, has received feedback that highlights particular features, both positive from a dealership's perspective and negative from a dog park user's perspective. Based on available public reviews, the main features and highlights include:

  • Location within a Car Dealership: This is its most distinctive feature. The park is literally "in the parking lot of a Kia dealership." For some, this convenience means their dog has a place to wait while they handle car-related business.
  • Gravel and Astroturf Foundation: The park's ground is composed of "dark gravel and astro turf." While this might imply a low-maintenance surface, it's a significant feature that directly impacts usability, especially in Colorado's sun.
  • Accessibility from I-25 Frontage Road: Its position on the I-25 Frontage Road makes it very easy to access directly by car for those passing by or visiting the dealership.

However, it is vital to acknowledge the highlighted drawbacks, which many users would consider anti-highlights:

  • Extreme Ground Heat: A critical concern highlighted by users is that the "ground in the 'dog park' was way way too hot for them to walk or stand on" due to the dark gravel and lack of shade. This poses a significant safety risk for dogs.
  • Lack of Shade: There is "no shade" whatsoever, leaving dogs and owners exposed to the sun, exacerbating the ground heat issue.
  • Absence of Water Fountain: The lack of a "water fountain" means owners must carry their own water, which is a basic necessity for any dog park.
  • "Run Down" Appearance: Recent reviews suggest the park "looks run down quite a bit," implying a lack of consistent maintenance or deterioration since its initial establishment.
  • No Surrounding Trails/Nature: Unlike typical dog parks, it offers "no trails or anything of the sort around this park," making it purely a confined dog run without opportunities for extended walks.

These features indicate that while it serves a basic function, the park may not meet the expectations of dog owners looking for a comfortable, safe, and engaging environment for their pets.

Given that the Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park is primarily an amenity associated with a car dealership, it does not typically offer traditional commercial "promotions or special offers" that you would find for a standalone dog park. Its "promotion" is inherently tied to the dealership itself. For customers visiting Fowler Kia, the presence of a dog park might be advertised as a convenience, allowing them to bring their pets along while they shop for or service a vehicle. The "special offer" here is the *convenience* of having a place for your dog while you conduct business, rather than any direct discount or event related to the dog park itself. One customer review explicitly mentions, "This dog park has everything your pup and you can enjoy while choosing the vehicle you desire. Great Job Phil & team! Get you next vehicle at I-25 Kia & bring your pup too! 馃惗馃檹馃徏" This clearly indicates that the dog park's purpose is to enhance the customer experience at the dealership, acting as a value-add for pet-owning patrons. Therefore, while you won't find coupons or freebies specifically for the dog park, the ongoing "promotion" is its availability as a pet-friendly feature for dealership visitors. Potential users should consider that any "promotions" are likely related to car sales or service, with the dog park being a secondary, supportive amenity for dealership clients.

For those interested in the Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park, its location and primary contact information are directly tied to the dealership it serves. The address for the park is: 10258 E I-25 Frontage Rd, Longmont, CO 80504, USA. This address will lead you to the Fowler Kia dealership, where the dog park is situated within the parking lot. For any inquiries regarding the dog park itself, such as current conditions, amenities, or specific operating hours, it would be most appropriate to contact Fowler Kia directly. The phone number provided for the dealership, which would be the relevant contact for information about this integrated amenity, is (303) 926-2887. This can also be dialed as +1 303-926-2887. It is highly recommended to call ahead, especially if you have concerns about the ground temperature or specific features, as the park's condition and usability appear to fluctuate based on environmental factors like sun exposure and maintenance. Since it's not a standalone public park, there isn't a separate parks and recreation department contact; all relevant information and inquiries would go through the dealership's main line.

In conclusion, the Fowler i25 Kia Chase Whiting Community Dog Park presents a unique proposition for locals in Colorado, particularly those in the Longmont area. While the concept of a dog park at a car dealership might initially seem convenient, it is crucial for local dog owners to understand its specific nature and limitations. This "dog park" is primarily a dog run situated directly in a parking lot, on a surface of dark gravel and astroturf. For Colorado's sunny climate, this surface, combined with a complete lack of shade and no water fountain, poses a significant risk of overheating for dogs' paws and bodies. Recent reviews suggest it may be "run down" and, importantly, "way way too hot" for dogs to comfortably use. Therefore, while it may serve a very specific, limited purpose for dealership customers needing a quick place for their dog to relieve themselves, it is largely unsuitable for general recreational use or for extended playtime, especially during warm weather. Colorado dog owners typically seek safe, spacious, and comfortable environments for their pets, often with natural surfaces, shade, and water. This facility, based on public feedback, does not consistently meet those expectations. Local users are advised to prioritize their dog's safety and comfort and consider other more traditional and well-equipped dog parks available in the Longmont area for regular exercise and socialization.

This is a private dog park for a car lot. Google needs to hire real people instead of bots..
