Services Offered

Emily's Bark Park is thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse needs of dogs and their human companions. While it focuses primarily on providing an excellent off-leash play area, the services and provisions available enhance the overall experience significantly.

  • Separate Enclosures for Small and Large Dogs: A standout feature that ensures the safety and comfort of all canine visitors. This separation allows smaller, more timid dogs to play freely without intimidation from larger, more boisterous breeds, and vice versa.
  • Well-Maintained Grass Terrain: The park boasts a lush, well-kept grassy area, providing a soft and comfortable surface for dogs to run, roll, and play. This attention to maintenance ensures a clean and enjoyable environment for everyone.
  • Pet Waste Stations: Located conveniently throughout the park, these stations provide bags and disposal bins, making it easy for owners to responsibly clean up after their pets. This commitment to cleanliness is highly praised by regular visitors.
  • Water Spigots: Hydration is key, especially during active play. Emily's Bark Park provides water spigots within the enclosures, allowing owners to easily offer fresh water to their dogs. While spigots are provided, it's always a good idea to bring your own bowl for your dog.
  • Benches with Cover: For human companions, comfortable benches, many with covers, are strategically placed for relaxation and observation. This allows owners to comfortably supervise their dogs, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, or simply socialize with other dog owners.
  • Double Gate Entry System: A crucial safety feature, the double gate at the entrance/exit prevents dogs from accidentally escaping the enclosed area, offering peace of mind to owners.
Features / Highlights

What truly sets Emily's Bark Park apart are its carefully considered features and the tranquil ambiance it offers.

  • Peaceful and Rarely Busy: Many visitors highlight the park's calm and uncrowded nature. This makes it an ideal spot for dogs who might be overwhelmed by very busy environments, and for owners seeking a more relaxed outing. The peaceful setting allows for more focused play and socialization.
  • Ample Shade in the Afternoons: A significant advantage, especially during Tennessee's warmer months. The presence of mature trees provides generous shaded areas, offering a cool respite for both dogs and their owners, allowing for longer, more comfortable visits.
  • Tucked Back Location: Its placement at the end of Valentine Park contributes to its peacefulness and sense of being a hidden gem. This seclusion enhances the natural feel of the park.
  • Agility Equipment (Planned/Possible Future Addition): While not explicitly stated as currently installed, public information suggests plans for adding agility equipment in the large dog area. This potential addition would provide an extra layer of fun and exercise for energetic dogs, making the park even more dynamic.
  • Dog Washing Area (Possible): Some sources indicate a dog washing area, which would be an incredible convenience for cleaning up muddy paws after a vigorous play session.
  • Community-Funded and Maintained: Emily's Bark Park was built through private funds and a generous donation, rather than taxpayer dollars, showcasing a strong community commitment to providing this valuable resource. It’s named in memory of Emily Arthur Clark, a Tipton County woman who loved animals, further emphasizing its heartfelt origins.
Promotions or Special Offers

Currently, Emily's Bark Park operates as a public park with no stated fees for entry or use. Its existence is a gift to the community, thanks to generous private funding and ongoing maintenance by the City of Munford Parks and Recreation Department. As a publicly accessible facility, there are no ongoing promotions or special offers in the traditional sense, but the greatest "offer" is the free access to a wonderfully maintained and enriching environment for your dog.

However, it's always a good idea to check the Munford Parks and Recreation website or their social media channels for any potential community events, such as pet-related gatherings, adoption days, or awareness campaigns that might occasionally take place at or near the park. While direct "promotions" aren't typically associated with public dog parks, these community events can offer unique opportunities for engagement and enjoyment.

Great place to let the dog's play and run. It is separated between big dogs and small dogs. I love they are considerate enough to put in well water for the dogs to use. Wish there was more shade and things for them to do.
