As a public dog park managed by the City of Brentwood, Dakota (Dog) Park does not typically offer commercial promotions, sales, or discounts in the retail sense. The inherent benefits of Dakota (Dog) Park serve as its ongoing "promotions." The readily available fresh water, the provision of poop bags, and the separate play areas for different dog sizes are all continuous "perks" that enhance the user experience at no cost. The park’s commitment to being a "well groomed grassy space" and offering shaded seating areas also adds significant value, particularly during warm California days. While there aren't official discounts, the friendly and supportive community that congregates here, as highlighted by a reviewer who "met a wonderful group of friendly people who introduced their dogs to mine AND taught me what the heck to do in a dog park!", represents an invaluable social "offer." Any potential community events, such as pet adoption drives or dog-friendly gatherings, would typically be organized by local groups and promoted through city channels or community boards, rather than by the park itself.

Dec 04, 2020 · Steve B. (Steve)Would be great if there was someone to play with. But tons of things to smell here anyway! Update: came back Sunday late afternoon and met a wonderful group of friendly people who introduced their dogs to mine AND taught me what the heck to do in a dog park!
Jan 22, 2024 · V FullerI take my dogs here daily, usually in the morning. I have small dogs so I bring them to the small dog side. It's a decent size and the other dog owners are nice and courteous. Parking can be an issue at times however.
Jul 31, 2018 · Jeffrey DimaoalaPoorly maintained. Water fountain leaks. Mud puddles. Grass needs to be reseeded. Holes in running area. Weeds. Have submitted multiple requests to Brentwood Parks for maintenance. Maybe if more people complain, something will be done.
Apr 13, 2022 · Rita RangerWe visit the "large dog" side with our small-to-medium pack. The larger dogs here are mostly respectful and the human walking paths (sand/cement) are always clean. There are 2 benches in the shade and a 3rd in the sun with plenty of space between for social distancing. It's rare that we show up with more than 2 families there already so it never feels crowded. There are many times, even on weekends, where we show up and there are no other dogs for ours to play with. They still enjoy the grass and being off leash. Someone left lots of nice throwables tucked into the fence. While the water fountains themselves are a little grimy, there is a separate stainless steel bowl which I prefer anyways so I can dump out the nasty old water, rinse, and fill it up fresh. Our favorite dog spot in town, couldn't ask for more :)
