---
Croft Farm Dog Park is conveniently located at **100 Bortons Mill Rd, Cherry Hill Township, NJ 08034, USA**. This address places it within the larger and historic Croft Farm property, a well-known public park in Cherry Hill.
Accessibility to the park is primarily by car. The dog park is nestled in a wooded area adjacent to Croft Farm's gravel parking lot, near the Croft Farm Art Center, historic buildings, and the Cherry Hill Recreation Department. While some online reviews mention it can be "hard to find" initially, advising to "watch for a gravel road on the left just past Jake's Place kids area," once found, access is straightforward. There is plenty of "free parking available nearby" to make your visit hassle-free. The park is easily reachable from major roads in Cherry Hill, ensuring a quick and convenient trip for residents. Its integration into the larger Croft Farm complex also means it’s part of an area known for its beautiful trails and recreational activities, offering a complete outdoor experience.

Croft Farm Dog Park provides excellent facilities and opportunities for off-leash dog recreation. While it doesn't offer commercial "services" like grooming or training classes, its core offerings are invaluable to dog owners:
-
Segregated Off-Leash Areas: A key service is the provision of "separate fenced-in areas for large dogs and small dogs." Cherry Hill defines small dogs as those weighing "25 pounds or less." This thoughtful segregation helps ensure safer and more comfortable interactions for dogs of all sizes, preventing potential intimidation or accidental injuries that can occur when very different-sized dogs play together.
-
Fenced-In Wooded Trails and Open Spaces: The park features a unique combination of "fenced-in wooded trails and open spaces for dogs to explore across a full acre." This provides varied terrain for dogs, allowing them to enjoy both open-field romping and more stimulating woodland sniffing adventures, all within a secure perimeter.
-
Dedicated Water Fountains for Dogs: Hydration is critical, and the park provides "water fountains" for dogs, ensuring they have access to fresh drinking water during their playtime. This is a highly valued amenity, especially during warmer months.
-
Waste Management System: The park is equipped with a "waste station" and "poop bags" are "conveniently provided." This service encourages responsible pet ownership and helps keep the park clean for everyone. While one review points out a general issue of some people not picking up, the park's provision of these resources demonstrates its commitment to cleanliness.
-
Shaded Seating for Owners: Owners can find comfort with "shaded picnic areas for pup parents" and "a covered pavilion" and "picnic tables." These amenities allow owners to relax and observe their dogs, fostering a more comfortable and social environment for humans too.
---
Croft Farm Dog Park is celebrated for several key features that contribute to its "Awesome and SAFE" play space, as described by a satisfied visitor:
-
Dual Fenced Areas for Size Separation: The clear division into separate, "fully fenced" areas for large and small dogs (under 25 lbs) is a primary highlight. This design directly addresses safety concerns and ensures a more harmonious play environment for all canine visitors.
-
Unique Combination of Open and Wooded Space: Unlike many dog parks that are just open fields, Croft Farm offers both "open spaces" and "fenced-in wooded trails." This provides a stimulating and varied environment for dogs to explore, sniff, and run, enriching their outdoor experience.
-
Ample Shade and Seating: The presence of "shaded picnic areas," a "covered pavilion," and "picnic tables" is a significant advantage, particularly during sunny or inclement weather. This allows owners to stay comfortable while their dogs play.
-
Accessible Water Fountains: Convenient water fountains are a practical and welcome feature, ensuring dogs stay hydrated during vigorous play.
-
Waste Stations with Bags Provided: The availability of waste bags and disposal stations demonstrates a commitment to cleanliness, making it easier for owners to adhere to responsible pet waste management.
-
Community Support and Planning: The park was "several years in the making" and came to fruition through efforts from the Cherry Hill Township, utilizing grants and community feedback. This highlights a strong local investment and dedication to providing this valuable amenity.
-
Proximity to Other Amenities: Located across from Camden County's Challenge Grove Park and Jake's Place (an all-inclusive playground), the dog park is part of a larger recreational hub, allowing for a multifaceted family outing.
It is important to acknowledge the concern raised in one review about large dogs entering the small dog side. While the park is designed with separation, user adherence to rules is crucial for maintaining the intended "SAFE" environment. Visitors should be mindful of this and communicate respectfully if they observe rule violations. Also, the park "gets muddy" after rainstorms, so preparing for dirty paws is advisable.
---
As a public amenity developed and managed by Cherry Hill Township, Croft Farm Dog Park does not typically offer commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense (e.g., discounts, membership fees). Its primary "offer" to the community is providing a free, accessible, and well-maintained off-leash dog park.
-
Free Entry: The park is free to use for all residents and visitors, making it a highly accessible recreational option for dog owners.
-
Community-Funded Amenities: The amenities, such as the covered pavilion (donated by the Peggy Spiegler Melanoma Research Foundation) and the overall park development (offset by grants from Camden County), are a testament to community and county investment. This continuous investment ensures a high-quality facility without direct user fees.
Any "special" events, such as grand openings (like its September celebration upon opening), community meet-ups, or organized dog-related activities, would typically be announced through the Cherry Hill Township Parks & Recreation Department or local community channels. The ongoing availability of this comprehensive dog park at no cost is its most significant and consistent benefit to the local population.

For inquiries regarding Croft Farm Dog Park, including its rules, maintenance, or any community-related initiatives, the best point of contact would be the Cherry Hill Township Parks & Recreation Department, as they oversee the facility.

Awesome and SAFE play space for puppers of ALL AGES and SIZES! Shaded picnic area for pup parents, too!
Jun 13, 2023 · Marie R. D'EliaWhy are people putting their GIANT dogs in the small dog side??? What is the point of this?? We had to just leave because half the dogs in there were 80lbs are more & going bananas on my under 25lb dog. She is scared and crying. I understand that many big dog owners think that small dogs are ridiculous but get over yourselves. Just be decent people.
Nov 11, 2024 · Heather GuthrieThere are enough irresponsible dog owners to make it unsafe for others. There is dog poop everywhere immediately outside the park. And the dogs are not well behaved, cut our trip short because too many dogs were getting rough with my kids. An elderly male dog owner (whose dog was very kid reactive) suggested I should leave because my kids are too young for (his) dog park. Dogs are not supervised by owners at all, they rush and escape the front gate. Use at your own risk.
