Love this chill little dog park. 😊 🐶 Stopped by Countryside to switch it up and had a great time playing with my dog. It’s a smaller park but there is still a lot of room. I had been previously but that last time I didn’t notice that there is a little hillside that you can hang out on more toward the streetlight, which I loved. When I went the other day, I noticed a future closed for maintenance warning so just know, it will be closed from mid May to July and lists two addresses with alternate locations, which I thought was super helpful. We will stop by again when you re-open! 🐶 🎾

We understand that your dog is a cherished member of your family, and providing them with opportunities for outdoor activity and social interaction is essential for their happiness and well-being. Whether you're looking for a spot for a quick romp or a peaceful afternoon outing, this Mesa park is a highly recommended destination for local pet parents.

Location and Accessibility

Countryside Dog Park is conveniently located at 3130 E Southern Ave, Mesa, AZ 85204, USA. This central Mesa address makes it easily accessible for residents across the city, including those from Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert, who are looking for a reliable and enjoyable dog park experience. Its position on East Southern Avenue ensures good road access, making the drive straightforward and simple from various neighborhoods.

The park is situated within the larger Countryside Park, which typically means ample public parking is available nearby, contributing to a hassle-free arrival. Users appreciate that it's "plenty of open space" within a larger park setting. The surrounding area is well-established, making navigation to the park a breeze, allowing more time for play and less time spent in transit. While one review mentioned noticing a streetlight that marks a "little hillside" to hang out on, this further emphasizes the park's natural integration into its environment, offering varied terrain for both dogs and humans. Its integration into a broader park also means access to other amenities, which enhances the overall convenience for local families.

However, it is crucial for local users to be aware of the park's maintenance schedule. A review mentioned a "future closed for maintenance warning," indicating that the park "will be closed from mid-May to July" (specifically, May 19 through July 6, reopening July 7, 2025, for ADA improvements and maintenance). During this period, a "temporary replacement dog park west of the current Countryside Dog Park will be open (no water available)," and additional off-leash areas will be available at Gene Autry Park and Eastmark Great Park. The dog park also closes every Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for cleaning.

Hidden gem alert! Countryside Park is like that chill friend who doesn’t ask for much but always makes your day better. Plenty of open space to walk the dog (ours loved it), toss a frisbee, or just vibe in nature. The playground is clean and safe, great for kids—and adults who still like to swing, no judgment. It’s got shaded areas, picnic tables, and just enough peace and quiet to clear your head. Perfect spot to escape the chaos without driving to the middle of nowhere. Bonus points for clean restrooms and friendly regulars. Definitely coming back.

Nice little park and nice people. Just beware there is a current giardia outbreak there at the dog park. Today is May 18th - I was there last week and at vet today with my dog. She said there is an outbreak there and at Cosmos park.

It's great, but it would be better if EVERYONE picked up their dog's poop. Also, if your male has Balls, watch him due to aggression possibilities. If your female is IN HEAT, leave the poor sweetie at home. It's distressing to watch a dog have to fend off breeding. People are the nicest ever here. Weekends have a different vibe.

Our 2 German Shepherds had a blast socializing and playing fetch with me. Please, we'll laid out, and plenty of fresh water.
