Location and Accessibility

The Burlingame Dog Exercise Park is ideally located at 1125 Airport Blvd., Burlingame, CA 94010, USA. Its strategic position right off Highway 101 makes it incredibly accessible for residents across the Bay Area. This ease of access is a significant advantage for those looking for a quick and convenient outing with their pets, without venturing too far off the beaten path. The park is nestled within the larger Bayside Park complex, offering a picturesque setting along the bay. This waterfront location not only provides a pleasant backdrop but also contributes to a feeling of spaciousness and openness that both dogs and their owners appreciate. Parking is readily available in front of the park on Airport Boulevard or within the broader Bayside Park area, eliminating the stress of searching for a spot. The park’s design ensures a smooth entry and exit, making it a hassle-free experience from the moment you arrive until you depart.

Services Offered

  • Off-Leash Dog Exercise Area: The primary service is a dedicated, fenced off-leash area, allowing dogs to run and play freely. This 3/4-acre space is specifically designed for canines to socialize and get ample exercise in a secure environment.

  • Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs: To ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors, the park features distinct sections for larger and smaller breeds, preventing potential conflicts and allowing dogs to play with peers of similar size and energy levels.

  • Waste Bag Dispensers: For the convenience of owners and to maintain cleanliness, dog waste bags are typically provided at the park's entrances, encouraging responsible pet ownership.

  • Water Station: A water station is available to keep pups hydrated, especially important during warmer California days or after vigorous play sessions. It's always a good idea to bring your own bowl, just in case.

  • Benches and Seating: Several benches are placed throughout the park, offering comfortable spots for owners to sit, relax, and supervise their dogs' playtime.

  • Regular Maintenance: The park undergoes scheduled maintenance, including closures on Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, to ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and enjoyable for all users.

Features / Highlights

  • Spacious Fenced Area: The park boasts a generous 3/4-acre fully fenced area, providing ample room for dogs to run, chase, and explore without the worry of them straying. This secure enclosure offers peace of mind for owners.

  • Dedicated Small Dog Area: A highly appreciated feature is the separate, designated space for small dogs. This allows smaller breeds or more timid dogs to play comfortably and safely away from larger, more boisterous canines.

  • Strategic Location by the Bay: Situated along the bay, the park offers a scenic environment. While not directly offering bay access for dogs, the proximity provides a pleasant atmosphere and a sense of open space.

  • Accessibility: Being located right off Highway 101, the park is easily accessible from various points in the Bay Area, making it a convenient choice for many dog owners.

  • Community Atmosphere: Many visitors praise the park for its friendly and social atmosphere, often mentioning that it's one of the better dog parks in the area for dogs to meet and run together. It's common to see regular dog walkers bringing groups of dogs in the afternoons, adding to the lively environment.

  • Proximity to Amenities: As one reviewer noted, there's a Starbucks in the Marriott right off the water nearby, offering a convenient stop for owners to grab a coffee before or after their park visit. This adds to the overall convenience and appeal of the location.

  • Established Rules for Safety: The park has clear guidelines, such as welcoming obedient, social, non-aggressive dogs over four months old that are currently licensed and vaccinated. These rules help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

It offers a consistently maintained, safe, and engaging environment for dogs and their owners, which in itself is a significant draw. While there are no discount codes or loyalty programs, the park’s commitment to providing a top-tier off-leash experience serves as its ongoing appeal. Nice park. I would prefer a bit more shaded areas for sitting. The terrain isn't great but it isn't horrible. There are a few dog walkers that come here in the afternoon and bring hordes of dogs which is good. One of the better dog parks in the area.

It's kinda... Empty. The small dog park was miniscule compared to the big dog park. Not much trees to provide shade. The parking is very limited on the side of the dog park. I parked across the street and had to cross carefully. The centennial dog park is a few minutes away and it is way better. On the bright side it's by water so you can smell the ocean if you're into that.

This dog park is dead ; empty and stinks as it’s waste management next to it. Parking is slim so dogs here M-f. Haven’t been on a weekend but it sucks weekdays

Usually leave very good reviews. It’s right beside a water treatment plant of some sort and we were downwind of this. The size is of the park is very good but the ground is mostly barren dirt with some shrubs. We found it lacking and left. If you have a bigger dog that needs to run I can see it being a good place for fetch.
