I give this place 1 star. If I could give less, I would. You have to be a member of this dog park. We cane from our of town just passing through tge town n was looking fir a place to stretch our legs n let my service pups run little bit. Instead, we came to this run-down park. I guess that gad such a threatening sign on the gate as well as nasty people. I explained to a couple that they had their dog in the dog park that we were just passing through n if the dogs could just run for 5 minutes to stretch their legs since we were driving for 2.5 hours. Instead we were ignored by that couple to only have them started screaming, n used cursed words at me to only have them threatened to call the cops on us cause I decided to sit down n let my pups run around outside the dog run. 馃悤 no compassion for another human n their pups. Not to mention that part of the park looks abandoned n run down. Sad that my pups were turned away by people with no heart. My experience in hazelton pa was far worse than the hustle and bustle of NYC life.

Location and Accessibility

Bailey's Bark Park - Yearly Fee to Use is conveniently located at 700 S Poplar St, Hazleton, PA 18201, USA. Situated within the larger City View Park, its location offers a blend of accessibility and a potentially scenic backdrop for dog owners in the Hazleton area and surrounding communities in Pennsylvania.

While the physical address is straightforward, it's worth noting that the park itself might require a little navigation upon arrival. As one visitor pointed out, the actual dog park entrance is "across the street and down the path from the parking lot indicated by Google Maps." This means that upon reaching the general address for City View Park, visitors should look for designated parking, and then follow signage or a path to the specific dog park area. This minor detail in locating the entrance highlights the importance of paying attention to directions, but once found, the access is generally smooth for members.

The presence of a dedicated parking area, even if across the street, is a significant advantage, providing ample space for vehicles and minimizing parking frustrations. Its integration into a larger park complex like City View Park can also mean access to other amenities within the broader park, such as walking paths, though the dog park itself remains a private, members-only facility. The location makes it a viable option for those in Hazleton and nearby towns who are seeking a dedicated, well-managed space for their dogs.

These offerings underscore the value provided by the annual fee.

  • Membership-Based Access: The park operates as a private, members-only facility, requiring an annual fee for entry. A completed application, including a liability waiver, proof of rabies vaccination, and current dog license, is required each year.
  • Dedicated Sections for Dogs: The park features "2 different sections to use as needed." Bailey's Bark Park - Yearly Fee to Use presents a distinctive and highly suitable option for locals in Pennsylvania, particularly those in Hazleton and the surrounding areas, who are seeking a premium and controlled environment for their dogs. While the membership fee is a key characteristic, it directly translates into tangible benefits that set this park apart from many free public alternatives.

Firstly, the park's commitment to being "the biggest, most well maintained dog park" ensures that members consistently enjoy a clean, safe, and spacious area for their dogs. This level of maintenance, funded by the annual fees, means less concern about overgrown areas, unemptied trash, or general disrepair often found in less-funded public spaces. The controlled access, requiring proof of vaccination and licensing, also contributes significantly to a healthier and safer play environment, as it helps to minimize the risk of illness or aggressive behavior from unknown dogs. This provides peace of mind for responsible owners who prioritize their dog's well-being.

The thoughtful inclusion of "2 different sections" and "plenty of obstacles" means that the park caters to a wider range of dogs and provides enhanced stimulation. Whether you have a small dog that needs a calmer play space or a large, energetic dog that thrives on agility challenges, the park is equipped to meet these diverse needs. This specialized offering goes beyond simple open fields, providing a more enriching experience for canine companions.

While an isolated negative experience can occur anywhere, the park's structure is designed to foster a community of committed and responsible pet owners. For locals who value cleanliness, safety, and a reliable, high-quality environment for their dogs to socialize and exercise regularly, the annual membership fee at Bailey's Bark Park is a worthwhile investment. It offers a consistently superior experience, making it a highly recommended and valuable resource for Hazleton's dedicated dog-owning community.

Under new ownership! This is by far the best dog park I have found in the NE. I am a truck driver and am always looking for places to let my dogs run. They do charge an annual fee, but it's definitely worth it. It is the biggest, most well maintained dog park I've found. They even have 2 different sections to use as needed. Plenty of obsticles in both sections. There is also a water fountain in the back lot (not sure about front lot, it was getting mowed) I will definitely be back!

You have to be a member. You do need a key fob to gain access inside the fenced area where the dog activities are.

Our dog Brooklin absolutely loves to go here! We have been members since she was 6 months old. She is now 4. She loves catching frisbees and balls and enjoys seeing her friends!
