Antlers Dog Park is designed with a thoughtful array of services and amenities to ensure a comfortable, clean, and enjoyable experience for all visitors. These offerings address common needs and concerns of dog owners, making each visit as stress-free as possible.
Services Offered:
Fenced Areas: The park features well-maintained fenced areas, providing a secure environment where dogs can play off-leash with peace of mind. This crucial safety feature allows dogs to run freely and express their natural behaviors without the worry of wandering off.
Separate Small Dog Area: Understanding that not all dogs are the same size or have the same play style, Antlers Dog Park thoughtfully includes a separate, dedicated area specifically for smaller dogs. This ensures that little pups can socialize and play safely without being overwhelmed by larger, more boisterous companions.
Poop Stations with Bags & Bins: Maintaining cleanliness is a top priority, and the park is equipped with numerous convenient poop stations. These stations consistently provide bags and designated bins, making it easy for owners to responsibly clean up after their pets and contribute to a hygienic environment for everyone.
Water Fountain for Dogs: Hydration is key, especially during active play. The park boasts a functional water fountain specifically designed for dogs. While it may be turned off during winter months to prevent freezing, it's a fantastic amenity during the warmer seasons, eliminating the need for owners to carry their own water jugs.
These services collectively contribute to Antlers Dog Park's reputation as a well-managed and user-friendly facility. The attention to detail in providing these essential amenities demonstrates a genuine commitment to the comfort and enjoyment of its canine and human visitors alike.
Beyond its essential services, Antlers Dog Park stands out due to its thoughtful design and unique features that enhance the overall experience for dogs and their owners. These highlights differentiate it from many other dog parks and contribute to its growing popularity among Colorado Springs locals.
Features / Highlights:
"Grass" (Turf) and Trees: Unlike many dog parks that consist primarily of dirt or gravel, Antlers Dog Park features a significant amount of durable turf, providing a softer and cleaner surface for dogs to run and play on. This is complemented by an abundance of trees, which not only add to the aesthetic appeal but also provide crucial natural elements within an urban setting.
Shaded Areas: A significant highlight, especially during Colorado's warm summer months, is the ample shade provided by the numerous trees. In the mornings, much of the park is almost completely in the shade, offering a cool and comfortable environment for dogs to play without overheating. This thoughtful feature is highly appreciated by owners seeking to protect their pets from intense sun exposure.
Rocks & Stumps for Interest: To add stimulation and variety to the play environment, the park incorporates natural elements like rocks and stumps. These features encourage exploration, climbing, and provide interesting obstacles for dogs, making their playtime more engaging and physically diverse than a simple flat area.
Clean and Pretty Environment: Visitors consistently praise the park for its cleanliness and well-maintained appearance. Everything looks "really pretty," contributing to a pleasant atmosphere for both dogs and their human companions. This dedication to upkeep ensures a positive experience for all.
Not Just a "Fenced-in Sandbox": A common sentiment among visitors is relief that Antlers Dog Park is far from being a generic, uninspired space. Its varied terrain, natural elements, and overall design elevate it beyond the basic expectations of a typical dog park, offering a truly enriched experience.
These features combine to create a dynamic and enjoyable setting that caters to the natural instincts of dogs while providing a comfortable and appealing space for their owners. The emphasis on natural elements, shade, and cleanliness truly makes Antlers Dog Park a standout destination in Colorado Springs.
While Antlers Dog Park may not have ongoing public promotions or a structured loyalty program in the traditional sense, its consistent value and well-maintained facilities serve as its own best promotion. The park's commitment to providing a clean, safe, and engaging environment for dogs and their owners is, in itself, a significant draw for the local community. The benefits of visiting Antlers Dog Park – such as access to a separate small dog area, abundant shade, and unique play features like turf and natural obstacles – could be considered ongoing "offers" that contribute to its popularity.
Periodically, local animal welfare organizations or community groups might host special events at the park, such as adoption days, training workshops, or pet-related fairs. While these are not directly promotions from the park itself, they represent valuable opportunities for the community and enhance the park's utility as a local hub for dog owners. We recommend checking local Colorado Springs community calendars, social media groups dedicated to local pet owners, or the official Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation website for any announcements regarding such special events or temporary programs that might take place at Antlers Dog Park. These events, when they occur, often provide added value for visitors, fostering a sense of community among dog enthusiasts.
For direct inquiries or to confirm specific operational details, such as the status of the water fountain during colder months or any park-specific regulations, the primary point of contact for Antlers Dog Park, given its public nature, would typically be the Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation department.

Feb 05, 2025 · Carter PupsThe new Antlers dog park is a great place for the pups to run around. Unlike other dog parks I’ve been to in the Springs, it’s not just a fenced in sandbox. There’s “grass” and trees. And a working water fountain so no bringing in water jugs. In the morning it’s almost completely in the shade, which is a great thing for the hot summer months. And there are trees everywhere. Everything looks really pretty. And I love that there’s a separate section for the little dogs. We will definitely be back.
May 17, 2024 · Heather DyeNew small park, but very nice. Trees and grass surround the area. Seperate small & big dog sections.
Jun 07, 2024 · DrewGreat area for dogs, plenty of space, fresh water, plenty of squirrels to stimulate the dogs and there is a good amount of shade
Jul 06, 2024 · Chris CI bring my packs here and they get plenty of exercise if we walk around the tiny big dog area.
