We’ll also uncover the unique aspects that make this park a beloved destination, including its vast 70-acre expanse, a blend of fenced and unfenced areas, and beautifully mowed walking trails that provide ample opportunity for both human and canine exercise.

What truly sets Andy's Bark Park apart, as echoed by countless local users, is its reputation as an "absolutely gorgeous little peace of heaven on earth for the dogs to be dogs." It's a place where "lots of furry friends" gather to play, and owners can find respite in the "spots of shade." For those of us in Minnesota who value large, natural spaces for our pets, Andy's Bark Park is not just a park; it's a vital community asset that fosters health, happiness, and connection among Woodbury’s vibrant dog-loving population.

Andy's Bark Park is strategically located at 11664 Dale Rd, Woodbury, MN 55129, USA. This address places it conveniently within the city of Woodbury, making it an easily accessible destination for residents throughout the eastern Twin Cities metro area and beyond. Its location on Dale Road ensures straightforward navigation, allowing dog owners to reach this fantastic facility with ease.

Accessibility is a key advantage of Andy's Bark Park. The park offers ample parking, which is crucial for a popular destination, ensuring visitors can find a spot without undue stress. While the park is vast, encompassing approximately 70 acres, it is well-integrated into the city's park system. It's important for visitors to note that while it features a large, fenced area, the park itself is not entirely fenced. This means owners should remain vigilant, particularly when utilizing the ungated sections or mowed trails that extend beyond the main fenced enclosure. Despite this, the presence of specific off-leash zones and clearly defined areas ensures that the park remains a safe and enjoyable environment for responsible pet owners.

Andy's Bark Park offers a thoughtful array of services and amenities designed to make visits comfortable and convenient for both dogs and their human companions. These provisions highlight the City of Woodbury's commitment to creating a positive experience for pet owners:

  • Pet Watering Station: The park includes a dedicated pet watering station, ensuring that dogs can stay hydrated during their playtime, especially after extended periods of running and socializing.
  • Pet Waste Disposal Stations with Bags: To promote cleanliness and responsible pet ownership, waste disposal stations equipped with bags are readily available throughout the park. This helps maintain a tidy environment for all users.

  • Shelter Area with Picnic Tables: The park features a sheltered area with picnic tables. This provides a welcoming spot for owners to rest, have a snack, or find refuge from the sun or light rain while their dogs play.
  • Benches: Numerous benches are strategically placed along the mowed walking trails and in various spots throughout the park, offering comfortable seating for owners to relax and observe their dogs.

Andy's Bark Park stands out with several remarkable features and highlights that contribute to its status as a premier dog park in Minnesota:

  • Vast 70-Acre Expanse: The park's most striking feature is its sheer size, covering approximately 70 acres. This enormous space provides unparalleled room for dogs to run, explore, and play freely, making it one of the largest off-leash areas in the region.
  • Gated and Ungated Sections: The park offers a unique blend of areas. It includes a large, gated section, providing a secure environment for dogs and peace of mind for owners. Additionally, there are ungated sections and mowed walking trails that extend further, offering more extensive exploration opportunities for dogs with reliable recall.
  • Mowed Walking Trails: For humans seeking exercise alongside their pups, the park boasts mowed walking trails. These trails are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk while your dog enjoys off-leash freedom.
  • Spots of Shade: Reviews highlight the presence of "spots of shade for the humans to sit while the pups run around." This natural shading from trees provides welcome relief during sunny days.
  • Abundant Socialization Opportunities: The park is frequently described as having "lots of furry friends to play with," indicating a vibrant and active dog community where canine companions can readily socialize and interact.
  • "Peace of Heaven for Dogs": This park is truly designed for dogs to "be dogs," offering an environment where their natural instincts to run, sniff, and play can be fully indulged, leading to a joyful experience for pets.

Based on currently available public information, there are no specific ongoing promotions or special offers directly associated with Andy's Bark Park itself. As a public park operated by the City of Woodbury, its primary "offer" is consistent access to its extensive and well-maintained facilities for the local community. Entry to the park is generally free, though a current City of Woodbury dog license is required for all dogs using the park, whether they are residents or visitors. This license is a standard requirement for maintaining public dog parks and ensuring pet health and safety.

While the park itself doesn't run commercial promotions, it sometimes serves as a venue for community events. For example, it has hosted events like a "Community Garden Kick-Off" in the past, organized by local initiatives like Woodbury Thrives. Any such events, or potential park-related programs, would be announced through the City of Woodbury's official website or their Parks and Recreation department's communications channels. Excellent Park for the puppies. Excellent trails. We love it here! Main area is fully gated with about 5' gates. Outside area isn't fenced but not next to any roads so pretty safe. They have water pools/hoses for the pups. Our dog always finds the mud baths!!!
