I can't believe I slept on this place for so long. I'm never hauling into Manhattan for fish supplies again! I was so impressed by the variety available, and I love that they keep their fish in actually planted aquariums. Great prices on driftwood in particular. Will absolutely be back!

Everything you might need is on this store. The employees are very charismatic and caring. You will find what you most likely are looking for. If they don’t have it they can get it for you. Very clean and organized, easy to recognize the sections and find whatever you need by yourself. Would come back! They have a big variety of fishes well maintained, they have birds and ginea pigs too.

I have been living in the neighborhood for close to 30 years. I have been patronizing this store when this location was previously Petland now it’s Whole Pets. I have been taking all my dogs over the years to get vaccinated by VIP Petcare at this and other locations for many years and it has always been completely indoor event. This Saturday I took my dogs to this location on Fulton St. Bed Sty. I was told by the cashier, that me and my dogs would have to stand outside in the pouring rain ( the spin off from Hurricane Helene) to wait our turn to see the vet. In all my years of taking my dogs to get vaccinated at these events, never have a manager ever had a policy for customers to wait outside under harsh weather conditions. A Pet store owner/manager and staff should exemplify empathy and compassion for companion animals and their owners. Today I experienced absolutely no such thing, no customer service and hospitality from the manager or management at this establishment. My dogs and I stood in the downpour completely drenched. I finally decided to walk into the store to speak to the manager about his inhumane treatment and policy of patrons who shopped at his store, but luckily the vet team was ready to assist us. I could not help but think if myself and the other people standing in the rain had not been Black, would the manager/owner’s policy be different. If the store was busy and Maybe if the store was full of customers maybe that could have been an excuse but there were 5-7 customers at best in the entire store that I saw at the time. Living in Bed Sty I try to patronize local businesses but since this Rude, Disrespectful Customer Service treatment by Management, I will take my business elsewhere and share my experience on Social Media but will only visit for Veterinary Services who were the only Professionals on site. I felt sad for the Black token employees who have to carry out this policy. “When people show you who they are believe them” Dr. Maya Angelou.

This pet store has everything I need for my dog, from food to toys and grooming supplies. The staff is knowledgeable and helped me find the best food for my pet’s specific needs. Prices are a little high, but the quality is unbeatable.

Was pleasantly surprised to find a smaller store with well cared for live fish and such a variety. The guys who are there are incredibly knowledgeable and talking to someone else about nano fish and their excitement for setting up special tanks and set ups has made every trip there great and informative. It is such a breath of fresh air going somewhere where those working with the animals are genuinely passionate and care about the animals (aquatic and not) that they work with. Now I don’t have to go into Manhattan or (reluctantly) go to one of the larger big box stores when I am looking for something. Yjw fish I got are active and well cared for and I also got a great piece of wood for my aquarium there for a great price. Oh and they have the friendlier bettas in appropriate community tanks on occasion which is awesome to see considering how badly some stores treat these fish (and it makes it easier to know more about the temperament before purchasing. Especially if you would prefer not having just the solo fish in the tank)
