Been shopping here for 5 years after trying almost every other store in Tampa for 2 years. Sue has always been amazing and unlike some other stores I went to, she does care about her fish and wants you to be successful with them. Some people don't seem to take her advice and then complain when their tank fails but her experience has been invaluable to me while setting up and maintaining my tank over the years. If you want a successful tank do your own research and listen to Sue's advice 🙏🏼

Jan 17, 2025 · Caleb BrobergThis place is amazing and they have a really great selection. Literally the best in town. Owner was so nice and extremely informative literally the subject matter expert on fish tanks freshwater and salt They have a huge selection of aquatic life and plants I talk to the owner. She is going out of business so sad because if this place was somewhere else it would flourish. It’s a weird location if this location in Saint Pete, it would be flourishing. Best of luck to the owner
Feb 04, 2025 · Johnny BeardsleyLet me make this clear, owner of the shop is a very kind and sweetheart but will tell you how it is. From sick fish to bacteria or whatever, Sue knows what to do. We currently have 120 gallon saltwater tank for 2 years with all fish as healthy as can be because we listen to the professional. Sometimes people can’t handle the truth. Thank you Sue for helping us with our water world.( The Jet ski man)
Feb 05, 2025 · Jeremiah SandsLocal small businesses with Excellent Service! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They are always fairly priced and the fish won’t die in a couple of days like the ones from the big chain stores. I have bought neon tetras, silvertip tetras, and mystery snails, never had any issues with the fish. They are always healthy. I also get all my feeder shrimps and fish here. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or experienced with aquariums. You should pay them a visit and support our local business owners.
Mar 07, 2025 · G. S.Me and my wife went here to look at saltwater fish because we recently started a saltwater tank. As we were looking around the older lady asked us questions about our tank. We advised her that we had done a proper salt water test and everything came back perfectly according to the test kit and research we had done. She advised that we needed bacteria and provided us with a bottle (not sure of the name) and said to dump the whole thing in our tank. My wife wanted to go by the instructions but I advised to listen her since this is her line of work… few days later we decided to get a second option from another shop (coral reef aquariums) and provided them the tests. They advised that the conditioner with bacteria would have been good along with adding a fish also, and come to find out adding the bottle of the bacteria the lady provided us would have completely turned our tank brown and we showed the guy our original test and said we would have been fine adding the fish from the start. So now we are stuck in doing water changes back and fourth to try and get our ammonia levels back down to what we originally had. while doing so our tank was slowly starting to turn brown like the gentlemen advised. The other place we went too as mentioned above was much better as the gentleman was much more helpful and listened to our input. At this point I would not be surprised if the owner responded back to this post and respond with a childish outburst instead of being a professional and accept criticism and learn from her mistakes and move on.
