Safari Stan's Pet Center

I had a fantastic experience at this pet store! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making sure all the animals were well cared for. I especially loved playing with the husky it was so energetic and playful! I also got to see a beautiful ball python up close, and the staff provided great information about its care. The store was clean, well-stocked, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for any pet lover.

Happy with our new kitty but the process is not straightforward and they lied and said I didn't have to pay boarding for the night since I was financing then charged me when I picked up. They gave the kitty hamster bedding because apparently he had a reaction to kitty litter which they didn't tell me until pick up after giving me the wrong litter. The welcome take home kit is not worth the $200 so don't bother just get the stuff elsewhere cheaper. Kitty is having a hard time adjusting since he's been in a small crate on the floor for 6 months but I guess that's to be expected with pet stores. We all fell in love with kitty but if your buying be careful about fees and don't believe what they say.

Told my husband & I we could come back to pick up our new dog and then told us they sold it to another family. A “waitlist” was never mentioned. We just were waiting for the pup to be cleared by the vet to go home. Call back & he’s sold. No apologies or accountability. Claimed because I didn’t answer quickly another family was called. I didn’t know it was first come first serve. Weird experience!

Really wonderful place. I always see the caretakers cleaning up after the dogs and all the animals get fed often. You can also play with the dogs in special individual pens for a small fee. The staff is always really nice and helpful. I love to come visit here even if I’m just in the area to see all the beautiful animals. I wish I could take them all home. 🥰

I've gone to this store a total of maybe 5 times. Once I felt like I could cry looking at where the puppies were kept, but I guess that's to be expected (?). they should always have access to a place to cuddle up and stretch out. Personally I'd never buy a cat or dog from a pet store, but to each their own. Here are my deal breakers: 1. I used Apple Pay a few times here. I paid with my phone. I ran in, got pet food, and began to wait for what felt like at least 10 minutes despite there only being one party ahead of me. then the woman said they cannot accept Apple Pay. I told her I had used before. I asked if we could enter in the Mastercard details manually, but she said no. It was a cold winter night and I needed the food. This was disappointing. 2. MOST EGREGIOUSLY, I rushed out to buy some dog and fish food tonight on this cold, Valentines evening. Despite having a pretty busy night ahead and having parental duties at hand as a single parent, I prioritised getting there by 6:45 because they close at 7. I knew exactly what I was going to buy. the door was locked, but three workers were inside. one of the workers asked me what I needed. I said I needed to buy food very fast and pointed out the time reading 6:45. He said he'd ask manager (which in doing this implied they could have helped me), but the manager said they were closing early due to the holiday. It's Valentine's Day mind you and their door and website and past history all indicate that they close at 7pm. they didn't care to help and were just beyond uncaring. I felt terrible not being able to get that errand done and have the food our pets needed, and I lost about 40 minutes from a busy cold night going there to get it. they didn't care about honouring their hours and helping their patrons. BIG turn off. I don't want to ever shop there again.
