After reading reviews, I felt the need to share our story about Rebel. I loved Puppies on the Run, they stayed open late and even gave my husband a discount on the puppy we purchased. He was the runt of the litter but grew to be a huge part of our family. Rebel was a beautiful Red Golden Retriever, who extremely loving and friendly. He was born in August 2018 and passed away December 11, 2023. Though I don't blame Puppies on the Run, I do think they should be more cautious of their breeders and share openlying with customers who purchased dogs from this breeder. Rebel was diagnosed with 3 brain tumors. After our very expensive CT and Vet visit. We had no choice but help him cross the Rainbow Bridge. Guilt tripped it was my fault as a pet owner. I had multiple vets and techs inform me that his brain tumors were in fact hereditary. The breeder he came from was located in Illinois. I hope that those who may have purchased a Golden here do not suffer the same loss, but take caution in any changes they see in their fur friends as warnings. Some of the signs we miss. Rebel had an enormous weight gain and his fur changed to a white and coursed color. His energy started to go down and going in the car scared him.

Puppies On The Run Inc Introduce
For local pet lovers in and around Hudson, New Hampshire, Puppies On The Run Inc presents itself as a destination for acquiring new furry companions and potentially accessing pet-related services. Situated at 5 Lowell Rd, Hudson, NH 03051, USA, they can be contacted via phone at (603) 402-4994 or their mobile number +1 603-402-4994. As a platform categorized under "Pet Store Near Me," Puppies On The Run Inc aims to serve the local community's needs for pets and related goods.
Based on available customer reviews, experiences with Puppies On The Run Inc appear to be varied. One customer shared a positive initial experience, highlighting the store's accommodating hours and a discount received on a Red Golden Retriever puppy named Rebel. This customer fondly remembered Rebel as a loving and friendly member of their family for over five years. However, the review took a somber turn, revealing that Rebel was diagnosed with multiple hereditary brain tumors, ultimately leading to his passing. While the customer did not directly blame Puppies On The Run Inc for this tragic health issue, they expressed a strong concern about the store's responsibility in vetting their breeders and openly communicating potential hereditary risks to customers who purchase their dogs. The customer also detailed some of the subtle signs they retrospectively recognized as potential indicators of Rebel's condition, including significant weight gain, a change in fur texture and color, decreased energy levels, and the development of car anxiety. This account underscores the importance of thorough health checks and transparent breeder information when acquiring a pet.
Another customer shared a mixed experience. They reported a positive and easy adoption process for a Mini Aussie puppy named Yukon, with friendly staff. However, shortly after bringing Yukon home, they noticed signs of illness, specifically frequent and watery stools. A subsequent veterinary visit confirmed that Yukon had worms and giardia, both highly contagious parasitic infections. This customer pointed out a discrepancy between the paperwork provided by Puppies On The Run Inc, which stated Yukon was negative for such conditions, and the actual diagnosis. This led to an unexpected expense of $500 for veterinary care and medication. This experience highlights the potential for health issues in newly adopted pets and the importance of independent veterinary checks, regardless of initial assurances.
Considering these firsthand accounts, potential customers approaching Puppies On The Run Inc should be aware of both the positive aspects highlighted, such as friendly service and a seemingly smooth adoption process, and the serious concerns raised regarding potential health issues in their animals and the importance of breeder transparency. While one customer appreciated the extended hours and a discount, the subsequent health tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the potential for unforeseen health challenges in pets, possibly stemming from hereditary conditions or undetected infections.
For local users considering Puppies On The Run Inc, it would be prudent to engage in thorough due diligence. This includes asking detailed questions about the breeders they work with, inquiring about the health history of the animals, and understanding their policies regarding pre-adoption health checks and any guarantees offered. It is also highly recommended to schedule a veterinary check-up for any newly adopted pet soon after bringing them home, regardless of any assurances provided by the pet store. This proactive step can help identify any potential health issues early on and ensure the well-being of the new family member.
As a local pet store operating under the "Pet Store Near Me" category, Puppies On The Run Inc likely aims to provide a service to the community by connecting potential pet owners with animals. However, the customer reviews suggest that there might be areas for improvement, particularly concerning the health screening processes for their animals and the transparency of information regarding breeders and potential hereditary conditions. For local users, these reviews offer valuable insights into the potential experience of acquiring a pet from this establishment.
When choosing a pet store, especially one that sources animals from breeders, it is crucial for potential owners to prioritize the health and well-being of the animals. Asking about the store's protocols for ensuring the health of their animals, the information they provide about the animal's background and breeder, and any health guarantees offered can be essential steps in making an informed decision. Visiting the store to assess the environment in which the animals are kept can also provide valuable insights.
In conclusion, Puppies On The Run Inc in Hudson, NH, has received both positive feedback regarding their customer service and adoption process, as well as significant concerns related to the health of the animals sold and the transparency regarding their origins. Local users considering this pet store should carefully weigh these experiences and take proactive steps to ensure the health and well-being of any pet they may acquire. Independent veterinary checks and thorough questioning about the animal's history and the breeder are highly recommended.

Jan 29, 2025 · Victoria ColbertThe experience was 50/50, we went there was treated great by the staff, we adopted Yukon a mini aussie, the process was very easy and it was great. We noticed right away that she was pooping a ton and had watery stool. We took Yukon to the vet a few days later and she tested positive for worms and gardia a very highly contagious disease. At puppies on the run they gave us paperworl that said she was negative for everything. Spent $500 on getting her checked out and the medicine she needed.
Apr 02, 2025 · Ashley BlondinGot to play with adorable puppies! Need I say more. Well I will -this place is awesome. The dogs are so well cared for while they find forever homes. Very clean and friendly place to visit to familiarize a child to different dog breeds or if considering dog ownership
Mar 11, 2025 · Michelle WardWe got our puppy here 2 weeks ago, we walked in to look at the puppies during the week no appointment needed. They make you use hand sanitizer and put on booties to help protect the health of the puppies. You can pick and choose what dogs from a litter you want to bring into a little area to play with, they have toys and when you're done with that dog you put them in a bin for them to be cleaned. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they were all split up by litters so if all the siblings were sold then one was left all alone in a tiny squared in area. There were flies in there and the puppies walk around in their poop if the employees aren't quick about picking it up. All the puppies looked and acted healthy. Ours was completely fine luckily. There is finance options available luckily because all the puppies there when we went ranged from $1,400-2,600. Then plus another 90 if you want it microchipped and they gave him a bath before we brought him home and gave us some food which was nice. They give you a folder with all the dogs info and past vet visits and vaccinations so it kept it organized and easy. Overall good experience just made me sad to see puppies all alone with no interaction unless someone comes to play with them
