Pets Plus - Quakertown

Amazing store with a large staff that's very friendly. The selection of fish is astounding and the man running the area really knows his stuff. As for mammals, if you like dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, or hamsters, they're constantly available with a high adopt rate. I come in here frequently and it feels like I see new animals every time (a really good thing!) Last month, we adopted a ferret from here that the staff lovingly named Slinky (On the right in the photo), and due to their handling, he is the sweetest boy. He really likes being held and giving little licks all over our faces. Will be coming back here with him and his brother really soon to visit :)

I spent so much money on fish, first you buy a fish, then you buy medicine to treat this fish. I'm just upset, how can there be sick animals in this store? Take a closer look at the aquariums in this store - more than half of the fish are sick (compressed fins or rot on the fins, white rash all over the body, fish wobble from side to side). I have lived in Quakertown for over 10 years and every time I go to this store I hope that something will change, but no! They will test your water and tell you how to treat your fish and what to change, but they themselves cannot fix the problems in their own aquariums! Unprofessional! I do not recommend!

Where do I begin?? This place is dirty and disgusting! The wash station area looks like there are months of dirt, hair and accumulative dust. Only one station has proper hooks for a leash to contain your pet. Only one wash station has enough water pressure to wash your dog. Back room near the wash station had someone’s pitbull barking its head off at us while we washed our dogs. Prices on food and treats are far higher than the competition. Owners need to take some pride in ownership and clean up the outside and the inside! Makes me want to open a pet boutique/wash grooming store and put you out of business! This place needs to clean up its act! Your employees eat at the cashier station, look sloppy and the whole place needs an overhaul or new management/ownership! I stopped buying anything from here after one or two times, and drove all the way to Doylstown for my high end food that costs less! I will find a new wash station with a cleaner environment and less stress. Clean it up Qtown!

We just picked up Apoll0 from his play date in the backwoods of East Greenville, PA. I knew he got into trouble the minute he bolted through the front door wet & spelling rancid. My dear boy took a walk on the wild side! "TURKEY **it WILD! There was no way I was able to drive an hour home smelling that! Aunt Linda did her very best to descent the turkey poo! But it's a little ruff to bathe an 81lb golden in your bath tub. This was NOT the ideal shop for a puppy bath! Ceramic floor tub & floor! NO secure way of getting him in the tub without 2 of us lifting him. Towels were more than recycled quality. Dryer did its job! I guess in such a SMELLY predicament I should give them 4 stars. I feared my golden was going to break a leg before we even finished his bath. SAFETY is NOT in the picture for a large dog here!
