This store … is just… ugh 🤦🏻♀️ I will say it’s a large variety and overly stocked… very expensive. Very dirty. Lots of animals and it’s sad, because they’re not properly cared for. I am not opposed to pet stores. Obviously I went in. The employees were all nice enough, maybe a little rough and tumble kind but not rude. But the birds…. All plucking out their feathers and the beaks and claws all so long etc. very sad. And they’re so expensive, I don’t think they sell many of the parrots that are so heartbreaking. Most have been there for years. There’s even a dog that hangs out in the store… it’s what I thought was a sheep dog… but it’s actually not a sheep dog at all…. It’s a labradoodle! It’s that’s overdue for grooming. Sad. I really don’t know how they get away with it. It’s a prime example of a failure in our systems. If the store was more reasonably priced and clean, I’d probably not have felt so bad. This store was so dirty, the cages were covered with cobwebs and feathers and poo. Very gross, sad, and wrong. Precious birds too. Beautiful. I hope they can be saved and recover. I’ll be looking into it as I hope others are too. With that said, I’m not looking to be a Karen who tries to hurt a business… I’d rather offer to clean the bird cages than see them that way! But they need help. They need real homes. Please advocate for them. Thanks.

Based on recent customer feedback available online, Pets In the Park is described as a store with a large variety of items and a significant number of animals present. However, multiple reviewers have raised concerns regarding the store's environment and the condition of some of the animals. One reviewer described the store as "very dirty" and "overly stocked," also noting it to be "very expensive." This individual expressed sadness over the apparent lack of proper care for some of the animals, specifically mentioning birds with plucked feathers and overgrown beaks and claws. The reviewer also noted the presence of a labradoodle in need of grooming within the store.
Another customer echoed these sentiments, stating that "a lot of animals were in bad shape" and that there were "a lot of dead fish in tanks" with significant algae accumulation. This reviewer also pointed out birds with overgrown beaks and described the store as "very crowded." These accounts collectively paint a picture of a potentially concerning environment for the animals housed at Pets In the Park.
Despite the negative observations regarding cleanliness and animal welfare, one reviewer did mention that the employees they encountered were "nice enough," describing them as "maybe a little rough and tumble kind but not rude." This suggests that while there may be issues with the overall store management and conditions, some customers found the staff to be personable.
The reviews do not provide specific details about the types of pet supplies available for sale, but it can be inferred that, as a pet store with a "large variety" and being "overly stocked," they likely offer a range of products such as pet food, toys, and accessories for various types of animals. However, the strong emphasis on the negative aspects of the store's environment and animal conditions overshadows any potential positive aspects related to product selection or pricing (which was described as "very expensive").
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Potential local customers considering Pets In the Park should be aware of the concerns raised by recent visitors regarding the store's cleanliness and the well-being of the animals housed there. These reviews suggest a need for significant improvements in animal care and store maintenance.
In conclusion, based on the available customer feedback, Pets In the Park in Butler, PA, is described as a pet store with a large selection of items and animals. However, multiple reviewers have expressed serious concerns about the store's cleanliness and the condition of some of the animals, including birds and fish. While one reviewer found the employees to be friendly, the overarching theme of the feedback points to potential issues with animal welfare and store maintenance. Local users seeking a "Pet Store Near Me" are advised to consider these recent experiences when making their decision. As there is no positive information regarding the environment or animal care in the provided reviews, and no promotional details, potential customers should approach with caution and perhaps consider visiting the store themselves to form their own informed opinion.

Mar 09, 2025 · Joanne MartinI really like this place. It is obvious their animals receive the best care. Fair prices, although the shop is a bit dusty and cluttered. They have a lot to offer. I reccomend you take some time to explore!
Jan 05, 2025 · Meg GrossThe staff is knowledgeable to the animals they care for. The fish were lively and I was treated well after a terrible experience elsewhere. I had a few questions they answered in detail and I feel confident about caring for my new pet.
Feb 24, 2024 · Lynn GreenPlanned on having to go to petco after visiting this small business but I could not have been more wrong. I went in wanting a new beta aquarium and all the bells and whistles to go with it. The woman was such a great help and could answer every question I had with additional information as well. Definitely going back for more plants and more aquatic friends.
