Petland Strongsville

Great place to get the feel for a dog. See how the family will act and what types of breeds are good. But 4000$ a dog is insanely steep. Would never purchase from here. It's a good place to pet some puppies tho!

I got Cookie 2 months ago in Petland, I took him to another vet than the one that provide for free and he has always been due to the distance, he was totally fine, and the vet said that he might have some kind of warm (I forgot the name) before but it might come from the mum, since they saw the vaccination copy, but that proves that they are honest about the dog! He was 3 months old the time I got him. It's my 1st canine, I have so many questions to ask, they can give me all the suggestions. The man staff I got was only 3 days, he did let me play with Cookie and enjoy our time. When I was with Cookie, he was very active and can't stop licking me, and he allowed me to touch him everywhere, I could open his mouth to stop him biting my shoelace, I could touch his paws, his tummy, which helped me groom him later. I tried to keep his hair long for 1.5 months to see how long his hair can gets which you can see the recent photo of how much hair he have grown for 2 months on his ears that I decided to keep long, and definitely he has been groomed! I stayed there almost for 3 hours to get my credit score since I'm here in the state only for an internship, but the lady staff helped me to ask the manager and come back and forth for trying to get me approved. Which also gave me a chance to observe my puppy more! He was quiet in the Petland crate but this is what I need, this helped me to train him on potty training separation anxiety and bringing him to the vet before he has all vaccination done. I also used the bigger rabbit water bottle to get through until my hanging water bowl arrive. I saw a few staff at the back preparing things and a lot of puppies were excited! They just lack interest with playing with each other since they have been together everyday. New in puppies were playing and fighting with each other and have so much interest with people outside the window! The male staff carried everything I bought and they gave in the package down to my Uber for me! I asked for a towel which is in his crate as it could help with separation anxiety and they totally understand that and gave me that for free! They helped me register my dog with AKCPI. Although I was not able to find how his parents looks like but I am doing a DNA breed test for him.

I'm so heartbroken right now Their website is listed under free adoption a little background on why I chose the store my wife of 34 years passed away in 2022 from cancer exactly 5 months after being diagnosed and 5 days before our 35th wedding anniversary we owned a miniature schnauzer a few months before my wife passed away our beloved pet of 16 years past I have been wanting to get another miniature Schnauzer as a emotional support pet and when I seen petland had two schnauzers I was absolutely ecstatic I even called the store and reserved the one that I wanted my son and I went to the store today and were told they do not participate in the free adoption like their website says and even though I reserved one of the schnauzers we were told that they were both sold yesterday$5,000 a piece which seems highly doubtful to me so my opinion is petland are liars and the free adoption is a gimmick to get people to visit their store so I would not trust petland we were told their prices range from $5,000 to $20,000 per pet so yeah be cautious.

My fiance and I bought two puppies from this store on 12/14/24. On 12/17/24 both puppies were at our vet and both very sick. I asked the female who we dealt with at time of purchase if both dogs had any health concerns. She assured us that both puppies were both well and healthy, so she lied. Per the agreement, we had to take both puppies to the vet Petland deals with, which is Rolling Hills Animal Hospital within a few days after purchase. We walked out after seeing this nasty disgusting place and took them to our vet. After our vet examined both puppies, it was found that both were very sick. We had to pay a $600.00 vet bill to get them well. I did my research of Petland and found that there are multiple lawsuits against them for the same accusations. Petland needs to be shut down immediately and investigated, along with these puppy mills. We will be handling this legally. Get ready Petland.

I don’t usually, if ever, write google reviews but I feel it is important to write one now. I don’t know who will see this review but if you do please read carefully. Do. Not. Buy. From. Here. They get all of their puppies from puppy mills, if you are unsure what that is, it is a constant breeding mill. Your puppy WILL have medical issues. On top of this, they will sell you these sick puppies for at LEAST $3,000. They will then offer you a “financial plan” where they will give you a 100% apr and almost double the original told price. I have not, and will not EVER support this awful business. On top of everything else, the staff is always extremely rude to you, if you go to see a puppy just to give it love or just look around, they will rarely greet you or treat you kindly when with the puppies. Overall, I’m sure this company was created with good intent, but if you really care about your dogs long life well being, I will always stand by the saying “adopt, don’t shop” this is never the way to get a dog.
