They sold us a sick puppy. I’ve purchased a puppy from here a few years ago and all was well. Fast forward to this past Monday, my mother and her boyfriend drove all the way from Toledo to get this new baby (Below is Phoebe). The second she got there, they “thought” they handed her the puppy they told her about as they communicated prior to the pickup. My mom got sick so her and her boyfriend went to eat next door. The second they walk in from eating dinner, they inform my mom that they handed her the “wrong” puppy. They gave her the “correct” puppy and sent the baby home with an “antibiotic”. Fast forward to the next few days, my mom calls me worried because her new puppy has not eaten. I told her it’s normal and that’s what happened with my dog and it’s due to stress because of their new environment (which you’d think the employees know since they work with puppies all day.). I told her to try and make her and and if she still doesn’t eat, take her to the vet. Mind you, they have a 14 day policy which was said on behalf of the employee, that if the puppy were to visit their vets listed in paperwork, they’d be financially responsible for the vet visits within 14 days. My mom has work and I live in Arizona so I’m not able to drive all the way to Columbus. The next day my mom calls me even more upset and worried because Phoebe is now aspirating, throwing up, still not eating and has diarrhea. The soonest my mom can get her into the vet was 5:30pm today at her local vet. The doctor ran blood tests and while she is up to date and negative of parvo, her liver results are through the roof and the vet advised a $2k overnight stay to stabilize her. The vet also mentioned that the “antibiotic” that they sent her home with was actually a parasitic. Once my mom left the vet before she had to call off work, the vets Petland refers us to is NOT 24 hours which is was medically necessary of overnight care. I immediately call the store and was given a number to their corporate office. We’re all on a 3way call and I have to go as I’m heading into work. After I hang up the phone, the manager from corporate tries to flip it on my mom and said she was weird for waiting 3 days and tried to make it seem like she was negligent of Phoebe. A) My mother is devastated and heartbroken as this was extremely unexpected. B) Way to make her feel worse by accusing her of neglect. The second my mom tells me about the phone call, I’m fuming. I immediately call the store and demand they reimburse us regardless of whatever vet we visit. I told them about my mom’s experience with corporate and the employee agreed with the manager from corporate. She cut me off and denied that the medication was a parasitic and insisted it was an antibiotic. She does not know what she’s talking about because she didn’t know that puppies don’t eat due to stress and I’m sure she doesn’t even know the name of the medication that they sent my mother home with. I told her something needs to be figured out immediately or I will get in contact with a lawyer and file a lawsuit and she told me in exact words “Go ahead and do that. Let me know how that works out” and hangs up on me. My mom’s boyfriend calls and they hang up on him too. Since they feel comfortable accusing my poor, frantic mother of neglect now I feel comfortable accusing these girls of giving my mom a sick puppy on purpose due to the first hand mixup. The professionalism is a joke here. They have absolutely 0 business working with animals! I will fight for little Phoebe and all of those puppies they neglect of their health and I will fight for my mom too because she did not deserve such a traumatic experience. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure these puppies are in exceptional health before you send them home to a family. Update: Unfortunately, Phoebe has passed away but without Beth’s help, we wouldn’t have the privilege to utilize every single option possible to save Phoebe’s life. Thank you Beth. Thank you for fighting for Phoebe and my mom. In 3 short days, she made quite the impact on our hearts.

Petland Columbus Upper Arlington Introduce
For pet enthusiasts in Upper Arlington, Columbus, Ohio, Petland Columbus Upper Arlington, situated at 3124 Kingsdale Center, is one of the options available when searching for a "Pet Store Near Me." As a well-known chain in the pet industry, Petland typically offers a variety of الحيوانات الأليفة, pet supplies, and related services. However, the limited customer feedback available for this specific location presents a mixed picture that potential local users should consider.
One customer review details a deeply concerning experience involving the purchase of a puppy. According to this account, a puppy named Phoebe was acquired from the store and allegedly sent home with a medication that was later identified by a local veterinarian as a parasitic treatment, despite Petland staff reportedly stating it was an antibiotic. The reviewer recounts that the puppy exhibited symptoms such as lack of appetite, aspiration, vomiting, and diarrhea shortly after arriving home. A subsequent veterinary visit revealed alarmingly high liver enzyme levels, necessitating a recommendation for overnight stabilization at a 24-hour facility. The reviewer states that the veterinary clinics referred by Petland were not open 24 hours, creating further complications.
The review further describes a distressing interaction with Petland's corporate management, where the reviewer's mother was allegedly accused of negligence for waiting three days before seeking veterinary care, despite the puppy exhibiting symptoms shortly after purchase. The reviewer also recounts a negative phone conversation with a store employee who reportedly contradicted the veterinarian's diagnosis of the medication and dismissed the reviewer's concerns, even hanging up on them and their mother's boyfriend. This account raises significant concerns about the health of the الحيوانات الأليفة sold at this location, the accuracy of information provided to customers, and the level of customer service and support offered when issues arise.
The tragic update from this reviewer indicates that the puppy, Phoebe, unfortunately passed away. While the reviewer acknowledges the efforts of an individual named Beth in trying to save Phoebe, the overall narrative paints a troubling picture for potential buyers, particularly regarding the health of the الحيوانات الأليفة and the store's handling of post-sale health issues.
On a more positive note, another customer review shares a pleasant experience, stating that they recently adopted their second puppy from Petland and had a "great experience." This reviewer specifically mentions an employee named Kate who was "extremely helpful and sweet" during the adoption of their second Maltese puppy, Nova. This positive feedback suggests that some customers have had satisfactory interactions with the staff and the adoption process at this location.
Given these contrasting experiences, it is challenging to form a definitive overall picture of Petland Columbus Upper Arlington based solely on this limited information. Typically, Petland stores offer a retail environment where customers can purchase a variety of الحيوانات الأليفة, including dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, and small animals. They also stock a wide range of pet supplies, such as food, toys, habitats, grooming tools, and health products. Some Petland locations may also offer services like grooming, training classes, and partnerships with local adoption agencies.
However, the serious allegations in the negative review regarding the sale of a sick puppy and the subsequent lack of support and unprofessional communication cannot be ignored by potential local users. It underscores the importance of thorough due diligence when considering purchasing a pet from any store, including inquiring about health guarantees, veterinary records, and the store's policies regarding post-sale health issues.
The positive review, while encouraging, is limited in detail about the overall environment and services offered beyond the adoption process. Potential customers might want to visit the store to assess the cleanliness of the الحيوانات الأليفة enclosures, the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff, and the variety and quality of the supplies available.
As no specific promotional information is provided in the reviews, local users interested in Petland Columbus Upper Arlington are advised to contact the store directly at (614) 683-4057 or +1 614-683-4057 to inquire about the الحيوانات الأليفة they have available, their health policies, the range of supplies they stock, and any current promotions or special offers. Visiting the store at 3124 Kingsdale Center in Columbus can also provide a firsthand impression of the environment and allow for direct interaction with the staff.
In conclusion, Petland Columbus Upper Arlington is a local "Pet Store Near Me" offering الحيوانات الأليفة and pet supplies. While one customer reported a severely negative experience involving a sick puppy and unsatisfactory customer service, another customer had a positive adoption experience. Potential local users should consider these contrasting accounts and conduct their own thorough research and visit the store to make an informed decision about their pet-related needs.
