This Petco near me in Grand Prairie, Tx, is convenient, always clean, smells good, is well stocked and all employees are always nice and attentive. Worst grooming experience ever. My dogs appointment was at 3:15 but was asked to come in earlier. I arrived at 2:45 and dropped my dog off. 23 min into the appointment I get a call saying they couldn’t finish the groom since my dog was being snippy. I walk in the store ready to pick up my dog and they’re still grooming him. You would think they would stop the appointment since they were constantly stating my dog was being snippy, but they didn’t. I talked to a lady and she said “maybe next time you should schedule an appointment earlier in the day since it takes 2-3 hours and we close at 5” then why does this store allow afternoon appointments and why did they accept my appointment. I got my dog back at 3:45…. Just an hour had went by. I’m looking at him and he’s completely matted under his belly. I’m pretty sure they didn’t do an anal expression either. I had told the groomer about his matting before hand so they can shave them off but they didn’t. I paid $65 for a terrible experience. It’s like they were trying to rush home and get out of there before 5. This was definitely not worth any money at all . Will not be bringing my dog back.

Took my 2 large dogs in for a doggie wash on Saturday. The customer service was great, all supplies clean. This is so much easier than doing it at home. Wish all stalls worked.

The worst ever!!!! So I send my kids to take the dog to get groomed. It was his first appointment there to be groomed, but he has been groomed several times by his previous owner. They call and say they couldn’t groom him due to him trying to bite which I totally get but what they didn’t tell me was that they went ahead and attempted to groom him leaving a patch cut out of his back and didn’t finish it. My kids didn’t find out until they went to pick him up my daughter FT me showing me the damage they did. I definitely will NEVER return and I this is not over.
