I hope you’re feeling the same frustration while watching them just dying inside these cans. It’s a torture. When you stop selling them ? If the fish died ,they just trow it as a garbage. I feel really bad for these creatures.

Petco Introduce

Petco is a well-known pet retail chain with a location at 850 S Hope St in Los Angeles, California, serving the local community under the category "Pet Store Near Me." They can be contacted at phone number (213) 372-1390 or mobile phone +1 213-372-1390. Petco typically offers a wide range of pet supplies, including food, toys, and accessories, and may also provide services such as grooming, veterinary care (in some locations), and self-wash facilities.

Based on recent online reviews, customer experiences at this particular Petco location are mixed. One reviewer expressed significant concern regarding the welfare of live fish being sold in cans, describing it as "torture" and questioning when the practice would stop. They also mentioned witnessing dead fish being discarded as garbage, conveying a strong negative sentiment towards the store's handling of aquatic life.

Another reviewer detailed a negative experience using the self-wash service. They claimed that the water dispensed instead of soap, requiring them to interrupt the washing process to request soap. Even after a supposed refill, they reported no change and overheard other customers voicing the same complaint. Ultimately, this customer was dissatisfied with the cleanliness of their dog after using the self-wash and felt they wasted their time and money, resolving to wash their dog at home instead.

Local users considering this Petco location for their pet supply needs or services should be aware of these recent criticisms regarding the handling of live fish and the quality of the self-wash facility. While Petco is a national brand with a wide selection of products and services, these specific experiences suggest potential issues at this particular store. It may be prudent for local pet owners to consider these points when deciding whether this Petco meets their needs and to potentially inquire about these specific services before use.

Don’t come here for the self wash. They use water for soap. I had to stop in the middle of washing my dog -take her out sopping wet- and ask for a new fill of soap because my dog was still dirty and stinky after both the “conditioner” and “shampoo”. There was no change in the “soap” after asking for a new one. I overheard other people at the self wash complaining about the soap too.. My dog is still dirty and smelly. I’m gonna have to wash her at home which defeats the purpose of the self wash. I wasted my time and $20. Never again

Glad to know this offers vet service once again. Going on a trip and needed my 2 cats vaccinated so they can fly the friendly sky. They were fast and friendly. They also offered pet carriers that are airplane approved. It was a great visit.

I visited this location twice last week on Tuesday and Wednesday and cannot believe the way I was treated. Walking in, I noticed that I was not greeted or welcomed. I met with a cold stare from the cashier. This did not sit well with me because I noticed that other customers were greeted and met with a smile. I also noticed I was being followed around but I tried to disregard it and continued my shopping. When asking another associate for dog harnesses, the aisle they were in were too narrow to place a cart, so I parked it off to the side with my dog inside. Shortly after returning to the aisle my dog and cart should have been, it was not there. I panicked because I thought someone stole my dog. After wandering through a few aisles, I was able to find my cart. This made very uncomfortable because the associate that moved my dog saw me and said nothing and watched me wander aisles until I asked. By now I am really upset so I get ready to checkout. I asked to speak to the manager, and surprisingly it was the same associate that moved my cart that had my dog in it without telling me. She seemed very nonchalant and annoyed that I was giving her feedback about my uncomfortable experience and how I felt profiled. She didn't even offer an apology. The next day I went back to return the harness and the gentleman at the register looked at me as I walked in and rolled his eyes. There were 2 customers in front of me, so I noticed he told them that he could help the next customer with a smile. When it was my turn, he threw up two of his fingers to signal me over. He did not talk to me at all during the transaction, and during my refund he balled my receipt/money up while shoving it in my hand. I have never felt more disrespected and discriminated against. As someone who has shopped with Petco and have been a Pals member for decades, I have never had an experience so unsettling. I will never visit this location again.
