Petco

many thanks to the knowledgeable employee who helped me get set up for my snowflake whites tree frog! She spent probably a solid hour with me talking through the options, making sure I had everything I needed, and ensuring I was getting the best deals possible. frog has been active and seemingly enjoying exploring her new habitat :) while I'm normally not a big-box pet supply supporter, my only local reptile/amphibian store kept its animals in poorer conditions, and I felt I was purchasing a happier and healthier frog from this petco. Customer service was just fantastic; i didn't feel like the employee helping me was trying to push a sale or usher me out the door, just really spending the time to make sure me and my new pet were set up for success together.

I enjoyed my visit to this Petco. They have a great range of animals and fish, and they were all quite active during my time there. The store is large, and there are plenty of products for pretty much anything pet related. I like the doggie treat bar, and the gerbils were pretty amazing. Stop in sometime you can even take your dog.

I do training with my Golden Retriever, Maggie. we are working with MacKenzie Brady It has been a great experience MacKenzie is very knowledgeable and extremely patient with my furbaby we started with puppy classes back in April 2024 and we are now doing advanced AKC good citizenship classes. MacKenzie, Maggie and I can't thank you enough for everything we have learnt from you! We also use Petco grooming services with Sage our groomer and Maggie always looks amazing after her grooming appointments! Sage is so kind and compassionate with our furbaby! Thank you Sage for your time,and expertise with grooming our furbaby. I would recommend both of these ladies for all your pets needs

I would not go back to the store employee named megan was rude and kicked me out of the due to that I was being rude to a veteran after I was just asking a simple question. And it doesn’t matter if u are an employee u shouldn’t be working at petco and be rude to all employees. And they rather kick u out but don’t kick other people with kids just looking at fish out and I also would by my fish from them eather they died quickly

I have a Senegal parrot, which i bought from this EXACT location 11 years ago. Not only is there hardly any pet bird items/stuff EVER in stock, when you can FIND an employee to ask, they HUFF... They literally put their phone down to their side and audibly sigh right in front of you. The entire section is empty... I ask " hey do you have any strawberry banana treats in the back?" I get "hahhhhhhh, NO everything we have is out" then I go to checkout and interrupt another surly teenager on their phone. No greeting, no concern if I can't find anything, JUST NOTHING...just a deadpan stare. (Apparently his name is "Brandon" according to my receipt from warwick store #03717) He asks if I want to donate, which I always do and I say yes. I asked him what the total is and he said he couldn't tell me until I made my donation. I looked at his computer screen (which I ALMOST saw the total on & he moved it away) I donate based on the transaction total just like tipping in a restaurant, so I wanted to know the total and he would NOT tell me the pre donation total. He said to me and I quote.. " I can't tell you the total because if you donate, it's going to change" I literally responded..."i understand how donations work, what's my total purchase cost?" He huffed and puffed and sighed and hit buttons on his screen and could finally tell me the total of my purchase. I donated $5 & have never felt less appreciated for my business, my donation, etc. I always shop North Kingstown and NEVER have a problem. This store has terrible customer service and I will drive to Jungle Junction in Cumberland RI from now on. They are way more expensive, but they have everything in stock and would never treat a customer this way. I bought my parrot from the Petco location on Bald Hill, multiple cages, his food, toys, treats etc for 11 years. This store has gone downhill so badly in that short amount of time, it's just sad
