I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service and pricing inconsistencies I experienced at the Petco location in 275 NJ-10 #182, Succasunna, NJ 07876. Petco store today, 2/19/2025. Lack of Staff Attention: Upon arriving at the register with my items, I stood waiting for over 10 minutes without a single employee in sight. This lack of staff presence is a recurring issue at this store, making it difficult to complete transactions efficiently. Pricing Discrepancies: The primary reason for my visit was to purchase Timothy grass hay, which was advertised both online and on the shelf for $8.49. However, upon checkout, the price rang up as $9.79. When I inquired about the discrepancy, no explanation was offered. This is not an isolated incident; I have encountered similar pricing errors on previous visits, suggesting a systemic issue with price accuracy. Product Quality Concerns: Beyond the pricing issues, the quality of the Timothy grass hay itself was concerning. I selected two bags, one appeared fresh and green, while the other was noticeably dry and yellow (see attached photo). This inconsistency in quality raises concerns about product freshness and proper storage. Overall, my experience at Petco today was deeply disappointing. The lack of customer service, recurring pricing discrepancies, and questionable product quality have eroded my trust in this store. I will be forced to seek alternative pet supply stores that prioritize customer service and accurate pricing.

I love this petco. My first time visiting and it's by far the best petco I have been to. The place is clean, animals are well taken care of. The staff/employees are very friendly and knowledgeable and are ready to answer all of your questions or concerns. This petco also has a huge collection for dog toys and clothes of all sizes which was hard for me to find elsewhere. And this petco had it all!! I would recommend for anyone that owns a pet to come here for their needs!

Cashier working here could easily be replaced with a self checkout considering they don’t act like a human with a simple greeting, thank you or verbally asking me anything during the transaction. Plus all the fresh pet they have is grain free.

I ordered a ship-to-store item from petco.com. It came from that store. The order was delivered to the wrong address. The manager, Anna, rudely explained, "When it leaves our store, it is not our responsibility." Call DoorDash. If I was ordering from DoorDash I would understand. Petco uses them for their delivery. Nothing they can do. Buyer beware.

James was great! He helped me locate the product I needed (feeding tongs) and answered all my questions despite them closing soon. Will be back!
