I have made a connection with at least 3 of the main regular employees... All of which have helped me with the array of "children" I have acquired from this store in specific. The knowledge of animals, husbandry, nutrition, and stimulation for their well-being is Nothing next to a pet store employee, but comparable to a Google search with ALL the 411 you need. Dana, Ivan, and Emma have schooled me in So many ways, and also gave me a Leg up to care for my animal kids. They have SO much compassion, knowledge, experience and helpful tips for the babies they care for on a daily basis, that adopting from here is comparable to a breeder/home grown situation, but better because they have the ability to do so much more for these animals. The quality of life while at the "pet store" is seemingly better then some "home life" situations due to these employees going above and beyond to care for the big and small kids. SADLY CORPORATE.... Had to step in on the green parrots!!!! Who deserve way more stimulation than the two crappy toys the employees were forced to only put in there... This is where outer influences who have no idea how to care for a pet rock, shouldn't be able to designate or delegate enrichment for animals that are left to their own devices for days/weeks on end. THIS WILL NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE ANIMALS! PLEASE let the Caretakers have the ability to choose from a array of enrichment style toys/treats that meet the standards and continue to enrich the lives of these "kids" while in the STORES care, as it will only allow them to pass along the "tips and tricks" further allowing the transition to a "home life" so much more successful. Visit here to get some bird food and for the squirrels, also checking if they have the same fish were looking for that we have before. They have plenty of selection in different animals food and supplies you need. We just had a hard time looking for someone to ask for assistance and we just decided not to waste too long walking around, hopefully they have more people on the floor to assist customers.

This review is for Love A Cat shelter that displays their cats at this location. Do not adopt from them. They adopted out two cats to us that were not updated on their vaccines. When we asked them about it they tried to blame it on us and our vet. The cats had upper respiratory illnesses and the shelter said they were better but when we got them the cats still had runny noses. The shelter is also very disorganized and slow, I had to follow up several times to get the medical records.

OMYGOSH Thank you so much to Dana for taking the time out to try to help a Frantic fish mama! And then to manage Ivan (pronounced “E-Von” 😉) for trying to find me an item that wasn’t available and helped me find the next best thing !! Thank you to him, he most likely is saving the life of a beloved pet I go out of my way to come from Rockville to go this this store, the help, options, knowledgeable associates and simple KINDNESS is unmatched by the other one. You can tell Ivan loves his job, and he so good at it. Til next time - Fran 💘

Linda is the best groomer for your pet you could ever ask for. She is an animal lover, and animals could feel her warmth and tenderness, which is why she's the best person to take care of your pet. We couldn't find anyone to give our dog a haircut. No one could do the job without needing to sedate him but not with Linda! Our dog is not easy to handle. He hates getting his haircut. He moves a lot and doesn't trust the process, but Linda works with him and gives him all the TLC he needs to get through it. Thank you, Linda, for caring and for being your sweet and loving self to animals.
