I went to buy a beta fish, stood there for 45 minutes to plan out my tank and what was going to go in the tank, and how much it would cost. I spent another 15 picking out my perfect fish. All while the cashier watched and helped with any questions I had. When I went to check out, the SAME cashier said I could not but my tank and fish the same week because I needed time for my tank to regulate. (I was getting a 1 gallon tank with no filter) she stood there and watched me for the hour I was there planning this out, then refused the sell me a BETA FISH (that it was a policy that i could not buy both in the same week, because the tank needed to be regulated). I have never heard having to regulate a tank for a beta fish. I then called Petco up the street. They said that this was not a policy that Petco had.

Apr 20, 2025 · abigail gldWe have been taking our babies (dogs) to Annie for over a year now and could not be happier. She is always willing to work with us on our schedule and the pups love her! She is truly an asset and are so thankful for her wonderful service, attention to detail, and love for our pets!
Nov 12, 2024 · Zachary StefaniakTheir aquatics department is absolutely dreadful. There's black algae in almost every tank, dead fish floating rampantly throughout the tanks, and the glass is covered by the same black algae on the floor of the tank, making it hard to identify which fish is which. Last time I went, an employee ended up killing a fish trying to scoop a fish out of it's tank with a plastic bowl (squishing it against the wall of the tank) even after being asked to use a fish net. The time before, I waited 10-20 minutes waiting for an employee to return after saying she would get scissors and return shortly. I ended up leaving empty-handed that day after a 20 minute wait and finding her on her phone talking to another employee at the register. I hope you find this helpful and go to a Pet-smart for optimum health of your fish and conservation of your time.
Mar 22, 2019 · Andrew WoodTook our elderly doodle for a touch up self wash at the self service dog wash. Wash stations were dirty, full of old hair and they had just opened! Water was ice cold and never did warm up. No access to aprons, combs, or brushes as advertised. Dryer blew cold air. Towels appeared dirty just thrown on the bench. Was a horrible experience for us and my Laynie. Won’t be back!!
Dec 18, 2024 · Kathe CarterI don't normally leave reviews, but I feel like I *have* to say something.. Every time I come in their tanks look even worse than the time before. The fish look unhealthy and emaciated, there's a thick layer of detritus in every. single. tank. Half the tanks have little to no water flow. There's hair algae everywhere. Salt creep all over the front of the glass. The state that these fish are in is truly depressing. They're animals and they feel pain too. Being out an aquatics specialist isn't an excuse to abuse animals. Someone needs to step tf up and take care of these fish. I only took pictures of the saltwater section but trust me, freshwater was just as bad, if not worse. Only positive thing I can say about the store is that the employees are very friendly.
