Petco

I love going to petco and seeing the different types of animals they have. I can not leave until I've looked at everything from fish to snakes. The employees are always helpful, especially Marco at the store off 377. He is very informative, helpful, and friendly. It doesn't matter what department I visit the employees know their animals and always gives me trustworthy advice!! Thank you, Petco, for being so awesome and for training your employees right!!

My boyfriend, our daughter, and I came in yesterday to get some fish supplies. On our way out Katie came up to us and told us about a hamster that was just surrendered and needed a home. So we went home with fish supplies and a sweet hamster. Katie was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and helped my boyfriend with his fish tank. And Jeff was at checkout helping us out and he was such a character, great personality and he helped us sign up for the small animal membership. Incredibly thankful for both of them!

They have LIVE mice here. And the girl at the front, with the tattoo on her arm of the lips, morning person, SUPER HELPFUL. Guess I know where I'll be going from now on. Sorry Petsmart. Should be called PetNotSoSmart lol

I've been to this store numerous times over the last five years, mostly for random bits I can't get somewhere else or it's cheaper. Previously I posted a review 4 years ago slamming the betta care (I didn't look at the fish this visit, so I can't comment on them). My complaint is with the small animals. Petco enclosures are super small compared to other chains (Petsmart). I saw one lone skinny pig in something the size of a 10 gal tank, which is bad enough, but THIS HAMSTER, pic taken 1.18.24, is SAD. The saucer and the house are TOO SMALL. If a robo or dwarf were in this, I'd let it slide since this is supposed to be 'temporary' housing while the pet sells, but this hamster can't exercise on that saucer. That explains why he was awake at 2pm and looking at me, totally bewildered. Petco, the least you could do is give these unfortunate animals even a shred of proper enrichment in their cage. Two stars because the dude that helped me with my 75 gal tank (for my hamster) was cool and helpful trying to ram the tank in the backseat of my car, so he deserves credit.

My family and I went in to learn more about parakeets since our little ones wanted one so badly. Kate was SUCH a GREAT help! We left with 3 parakeets and all the things that we would need. Great experience!!
