Petco

Great place to take your dog for grooming. I made my appointment online. Our groomer Tori did an amazing job! My dog usually comes home traumatized from the last place we went to in south LA and he came home doing well this time from petco. The only thing is it’s pretty pricey but paying a little extra for good quality goes a long way.:) Recommend this place:)

The staff at this Petco are great and super friendly! We particularly love the grooming team (especially Aleena and Tammy), who treat our pup like family and do such a great job with him. ❤️

Their reptile section is abysmal. The care of the lizards is NOT appropriate, i.e. very low humidity levels for their INDONESIAN blue tongued skinks at 30% when they should be around 80%, they're also BURROWING LIZARDS yet the substrate is not even a centimeter deep. Humidity is also very low for chameleons. The use of reptile carpet in other tanks is also sad to see, it's a terrible substrate replacement known to harbor bacteria and claws can easily get stuck in it. Most feeder insects sit dead in their containers on the shelf, and often look crusty like they've been dead and dry for weeks. There's also almost no selection of reptile tanks, though there are many fish tanks at least If it wasn't for the convenient location, I would not go here. I try to avoid it in general as the husbandry of their reptiles is so disappointing. Most employees have been friendly so that's a plus. Take a look at the pics to see for yourself. These tanks are bone dry for animals that need very high humidity, and the feeder insects are all dead and crusty

If i could give 0 stars i would. I walked in to my grooming appointment today with Britanny. Worst service ever, she said supposedly they couldn't take my dog because she hasn't been there for 2 years. Excuse after excuse. Avoid this grooming location. Poor management as well. She couldn't give me a logic reason to why they couldn't take care of my dog. This is store for all pets needs and unfortunately our needs were not met. Britanny also mentioned her age and how she would react, when she clearly did her grooming years prior. I will escalate this to corporate. Will include management as well.

I would go with 5 stars because the Goomers are AWESOME, but I could never really find what I wanted or needed there inside the store. I can definitely count on dog food. It felt small inside with limited options for a variety of things I needed that day. BUUUUT Staff members are super friendly. Nice environment. Clean environment. Plus, THE GROOMERS ARE ALWAYS GREAT TO MY DOG AND I. My dog is a very nervous dog, and she comes out happy every time. SO HAPPY WITH THEM.
