Searching three Petco stores, finally at this, that was the fourth in my search, I found 24 Proplan cans of wet cat food for sensitive stomach, Artic Char Entree! This store is kind of far from where I live; but, I waited until the last minute to buy the food, thinking the one closer to me might have that flavour. And we had to go to pick up the food at the store!

Dear Petco Team, I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience I had with one of your managers, short Hispanic male, I didn’t catch his name, on Black Friday & today December 6, 2024 at approximately 7pm at one of your stores located in Signal Hill, California. On Black Friday I arrived at the store seeking advice about the proper care for two bearded dragons and if they were able to cohabitate. After discussing their habitat needs, I purchased the second bearded dragon and a terrarium starter kit because of the reassurance by the manager that the two bearded dragons could indeed cohabitate. Upon further research, I was given several pieces of information by that manager that turned out to be incorrect and dangerous for my new pets. I returned to the store today December 6, 2024 at 7pm to return the bearded dragon I had purchased on Black Friday along with the terrarium because it was faulty. During my visit, I had an interaction with the store manager that left me not only frustrated but also concerned about the well-being of my pets and any other pets he has helped find homes for. I asked to speak with the same manager and when I pointed out the discrepancies in the information originally shared with me and asked for clarification, I was met with a dismissive and condescending attitude. Despite my concerns, the manager refused to acknowledge the mistakes or offer any solutions, even when it became clear that the incorrect advice had created an unsafe environment for my pets. He called to the cashier and rudely told him “this is a return, you don’t need me for this” and he walked away without answering any further questions or admitting fault. This interaction was not only unhelpful, but it also put my bearded dragons at risk. I trust that your company values customer service and the well-being of pets, so I was deeply disappointed by the behavior and lack of professionalism demonstrated. I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed. I hope that appropriate action will be taken to ensure that future customers receive accurate information and are treated with respect. Additionally, I would like to request a follow-up to ensure that the care of my pets and others’ is no longer compromised. Thank you for your time and attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.
