Catherine, the Fairy Princess. This crew has always been the most entertaining and accommodating so far. A guy with long blond hair made me and my hubby wait for about 15 minutes cos he was talking different topics to a client he was serving. Catherine came to the rescue to get our shrimps and she even looked extra just to make sure we would be able to bring home sone ghost shrimps. She has helped me and my husband a few times as well with the fish section. I went by myself one time. I am new to the US, so I am still unfamiliar with the coins. Catherine helped me out in counting it to pay the right amount. I know it’s embarrassing on my end. But hey, Catherine has always been to the rescue! You guys need more people like her!

Kaley saw us 1st and asked if we needed any help and then it just spiraled from there with help from Jake and then Conor. Everyone was so fabulous in customer service. Not to mention all of the attention our newest member got and Fabio enjoyed it all. We felt the live and care for our pet when we got that first greeting, we will only come to Petco from now on. The competitor was nowhere as attentive, knowledgeable, friendly or caring as your associates were, thanks for the awesome experience. Keep up the fine work!

!!!This is unacceptable!!! As a fish hobbyist, I say never buy fish from here. Maybe other related items, but even their plants are half dead. Over 50% of their tanks were "not for sale, under observation." I understand that, and it's its good practice to not sell noticeable sick fish. However, to allow dead fish to be sucked up into the filter intake and leave them there causes not only water flow issues and temperature but extreme dispensing of ammonia and nitrites to rise in the tank and kill other live fish! It was disgusting! To top it off, I listened to an employee trying to "inform" and sell neon tetras to a younger person with a 2 gal tank! They need to be in maybe a 10, for sure, 20, and in a large group of 6 to be happy and healthy! The last pic is the worst. That glob was molded, which means it's been there for a long time! I apologize for the bad pictures.

This Place is a Joke – Avoid at All Costs I took my dog Teddy here, and it was a complete disaster. They left him with hot spots all over his neck and had the nerve to tell me he bites, even though I’ve cut his hair at home many times without a single issue. Meanwhile, a huge, aggressive Pitbull was getting VIP treatment from the staff. This establishment is an embarrassment. I’ve also heard from many others who have had terrible grooming experiences here. If you care about your pet’s well-being, avoid this place at all costs. Picture below. Look at my poor teddys neck.

I am capable of rehabbing most betta and often try to save them from big box stores. They not only suffer from poor conditions because employees don’t know how to care for them (or don’t care), they also just have bad genetics. However, I have managed to rehabilitate even the worst cases from these stores. The betta in these photos, and countless others, are dead because Petco doesn’t allow discounts on sick betta. It doesn’t matter what the policy is, the stores aren’t going to treat the sick fish. It takes time and effort. I have hand fed daphnia to betta before, prepared salt baths with the perfect ratios, and have every medication to treat every betta disease. Employees aren’t going to do that. Petco isn’t going to provide this. There are a few Petco stores in the area that care enough to discount them, but the employees at this location had zero empathy for these fish. I asked very politely if they would consider a discount and explained in detail what was wrong and how I could help. She didn’t even look at the fish, she just said “no, we can’t do that”. She didn’t even offer to ask a manager. Additionally, this store often has betta not in the main display, hidden away on a wrack that probably is overlooked by customers and employees. This is an issue with just ordering blindly without taking accurate inventory. I’m so torn between buying fish from Petco to make sure they get a good home and boycotting Petco because they just shouldn’t be selling fish that they can’t take care of. I inevitably end up grabbing the sick ones because I just care too much. I have emailed corporate about this location with no response.
