My 10 year old was getting a leopard gecko and we were helped by an older gentleman (we cannot remember his name). He was very informative and helpful. He made the experience very smooth and answered all of our questions.

I've been shopping here for a decade and got to the door at 8. I thought they closed at 9:00 and that's my mistake. The older dude blocked me and just scowled at me, so I asked "oh, when did you start closing at 9:00?" He just said "for 4 years now" as he shut the door in my face before I could even respond. I understand I had the times wrong but you didn't have to be such a rude dick about it.

What a great experience on Saturday 11/30 around closing time. I ordered online and came to pick up. I had a terrible headache! I had also forgotten to order a product (something I never bought before and wouldn't know where to find), and I really didn't want to have to search the aisles. A very kind employee came to assist me. They quickly helped me to find what I needed and then checked me out with such a kind and caring demeanor. I was grateful to them for such a pleasant and fairly quick interaction. I made a small $5 donation, and I didn't need accolades or anything, but she thanked me for the donation and explained that all donations stay local and go to brother Wolf or Asheville Humane Society. This employee seemed genuinely excited about my tiny donation, which was just so sweet and just shows how much they care about the animals. What a great energy. Just a model employee and the epitome of excellent customer service. I'm going to shop there more often because of them!

Worst shopping experience I've had in a while. Went in to purchase an XXL dog bed. Found one in a stack of 4 on the bottom shelf, where they keep the largest beds. Had 2 tags, only 2 tags where they were stacked, priced $84.99. When I went to the register they rang up $99 at which time I told the clerk of the price discrepancy. She asked me to show her where I got them, at which time I walked back to the shelf. She started towards me but got called back to the register, so I waited. After a few minutes an elderly gray haired gentleman, who I assumed was the manager approached me. He asked where I had picked up the item and I pointed out the remaining 3, one I had taken to the register. He started looking at the shelves and found a price tag 2 shelves up, marked $99, stating this is the price. I told him that where they were all stacked, it was priced $84.99, pointing them out. He stated in a condesending tone, somebody else probably moved them there. I stated, I doubt it, the extra large ones are always on the bottom shelf, and I doubt anyone is going to move all 4 of them into the wrong place. He then stated "You can buy it for $99, or not." At that, I headed out the door. Now, I have spent over $1000 plus over the last year, on dog food, cat food and toys. From now on, I will go 10 miles out of my way to buy pet supplies and not step foot in that store again and I would suggest you do the same. Their selection is sparse anyway. Answer to response from owner: The price point was minimal, it was the interaction from your staff, trying to justify why it was mismarked and his total failure of keeping the customer happy, particularly one that drops money at your store previously weekly. A bag of large breed dog food is a much as that bed, so it wasn't all about the money. Rather your managers rude and condescending attitude. Don't think he really has a customer service background.

An employee helped us find and adjust a harness for our new puppy, then helped us find a mesh crate that fit our dog! The staff is always helpful when we ask for help.
