Terrible customer service. I purchased a defective light bulb from this store ($55!) and it worked for a few days. I tossed the receipt and when I realized it didn’t work, tried to take it back for an exchange. The manager said there was no way to help me without a receipt. I can’t think of another store that does not have a way of tracking the items they sell. It’s 2024 and if this store policy is going to be so strict, they should have better technology in order to provide better customer service.

The person that helped us out – she is awesome. She helped us select a hamster for our kids, educated us on how to socialize the little guy, told us how to feed it, clean the cage, and keep it's teeth healthy. She was very realistic and honest, without making us feel stressed or hassled. It was a normal and pleasant conversation that included my kids, and made them feel educated and excited to take responsibility for a new pet. Great experience! Terrible customer service. I spoke to two different managers who didn’t want to honor a sale price that was listed on Petco.com. The sale was for in store and online. Rather than trying to make a sale in store, they said to just buy the item online. I could understand if they were busy with customers but there were not a lot of people in the store. I ended up giving my business to Amazon.

I have 2 dogs I am bringing here for nail trims now that I am disabled and unable to do it myself. One of my dogs is pretty friendly, but my other dog is anxious and fearful. Despite intensive training, conditioning, and even medication, my 3 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever is still afraid of people—especially men. The team here were very patient and understanding with my dog, even when she had a “moment” and snarled/lunged at the male groomer. I was very impressed by how calm he was after her reaction and he didn’t back down. He gave her cookies and they immediately became friends. He was able to lead her into the grooming area and lift her onto the table. I was astonished! Another groomer kept her distracted with cookies and a deep tissue head massage. My nervous dog nearly fell asleep and even accepted a kiss from the groomer. I’m not a crier- but I almost burst into tears when I watched that happen. I really expected to be sent away but that was not the case. Thank you team for being so gentle and going so slow with my girl to gain her trust. She had a hard early life. We are now going to be coming in regular for nails every 4 weeks! Also- happy they used a rotary file because the click of nail clippers can be very triggering for both my dogs. They got their nails so short!

If I could leave negative stars I would. Sunny was working as the manager on the floor and was completely unhelpful while also being rude. I even overheard her bad mouthing costumers behind their backs to other employees. I will not be going back to this store anymore because of her.
