Petco

We needed a small dog sweater and they were very helpful. They went out of their way to leave the counter to come out and help. They have a good supply of pets and it's a good sized Petco with grooming services too. Nice stop!

Love this Petco. Great customer service, we shop here frequently for our 5 pets plus fish. My dogs are in advanced training here with Jess. She's a knowledgeable trainer and we've had a few significant breakthroughs. Highly recommend!

I don't like giving bad reviews. I always give businesses and employees the benefit of the doubt, as we've all had bad days where we didn't offer every customer our best service. I give lots of 4 and 5 star reviews, but rarely one star. Well, sometimes you have to go there!! This review is specific for the Stanwood location, not Petco in general. I have shopped at this store many, many times over the years. Each time I get an emailed survey after I shop there. Each time I give the store top scores, but almost every time I have also left a comment pointing out that I am elderly and that I have to ask for help to get 40 lb bags of cat litter out to my car. I typically buy 4-12 bags at a time, and my shoulders and lower back are quite painful now that I'm almost 70 years old. Once I ask for help the staff has always been wonderful about helping me, so I always give high scores on those surveys, but I repeatedly point out that an elderly woman should not have to ask for help with this kind of weight. It should be offered by any business that claims to offer even just adequate customer service. I have repeatedly said that, and the manager has repeatedly taken my comments as some kind of a compliment. It's NOT!! It's telling them that they're not meeting expectations. The fact that I plan to return due to cost of goods does not mean that I'm happy. The fact that I give them 9s and 10s for satisfaction is only because their employees do eventually make it right, not because they did everything right without prompting. I have repeatedly told them in writing what needs to be done to meet expectations, as many people are shy and don't like to ask for help, but management has repeatedly failed to correct the problem. So this last visit I called in before visiting because they messed up my online order, and I wanted to see if the problem could be resolved over the phone. It did get resolved, and I drove to the Stanwood location after work. When I walked into the store my four 40 lb bags of cat litter were setting in a cart near the door. I went to the cash register where there were two male employees. Each one of these men were youngish and very muscular, so them picking up a 40 lb bag would require no effort at all. There was no other customer at the register. My online order was (supposedly) cancelled and credited, and I paid for the new order. The employee handed me my receipt, pointed to the basket with 160 lbs of litter in it, and said that they "put my order in that cart by the door for me." There was absolutely no impression that either of them wanted to help me load the bags into my vehicle, or that they would have appreciated being asked to help. I was clearly being told that they had done their part, and the cart was by the door "for me." I was beyond angry! How incredibly rude!! I am just DONE with this store. I have tried multiple times to give them kind feedback as to how to improve their customer service, and they have repeatedly failed to make improvements. And now they have not one but two very strong young men who don't think it is their job to help an elderly woman with heavy items unless asked, and who set up a situation where they all but overtly told me that it's "for me" to get those heavy bags outside. Nope! I'm done trying to teach their staff basic manners. I pushed the cart outside, and with great difficultly, in the rain, lifted each one of those bags out of the cart and into my vehicle. Oh, did I mention that my right hand has an obvious disability, one that any observant person could see as I fumbled to get my wallet out of my purse, and my credit card out of my wallet. But sure, let's have the very fit young men expect the old lady with less than 50% right hand function to unload 40 lb bags out of both the top and bottom of a cart in the pouring rain after having put in a 10 hour day at work, and then expect me to call that customer service. My right shoulder and my lower back still burn like fire. I'm never going back to this location.

The Stanwood Petco is always tidy and clean. The associates are kind and helpful. This is my go to for pet supplies. I also subscribe to the monthly pet rewards program, saving $$ over the year.

This is a really small Petco. They have all the basics, but don't expect it to have a wide selection. They carry a small selection of animals. No large parrots. The employees have always been great.
