Pet Supplies Plus Leawood

These locations are extremely over priced. The employees have little to know customer service skills. I am noticing people with disabilities have and continue not to be welcomed at these franchises. This location is also owned by the owner of the Gladstone location. I would not bring any animal in these stores. They are dirty and trust you don't want to get your animal sick.

My primary shop is with the Leawood store and I will continue to keep them as my go to for my pet needs. The staff and management are wonderful, always kind and helpful. Their stock is great and rarely is anything out of stock and quickly replenished if so. I would give them 10 stars if the option!

They have a wide selection of mid or upper tier dog food. If you are looking for better food choices it's not a bad spot to try. They have tons of treat options and toys also. They have a clearance section that had some decent treats my dogs liked so it is worth checking. I did notice the prices were on the high side for a few items but didn't check everything. Higher prices is the reason for the 4 star otherwise it was a great experience. Check them out.

I adore this pet store. We purchased a bearded dragon for my daughter and had such a wonderful experience. Goldie is an absolute gem. I stopped in a few weeks before we bought the beardie and she was so knowledgeable. She was able to tell me about each lizard, how they have been doing under her care and truly seemed to care about her animals. I knew immediately this is where we would purchase our new pet. I didn’t catch the name is the store manager that helped us today when we bought him but, she was just as wonderful. Every staff me ever I’ve encountered has been helpful and friendly. I will go here for all of our pet care needs, despite having a large chain pet store 2 minutes from my house. We love our new lizard & I’m so thankful to have found this shop!

I brought my dog here to utilize their self serve dog wash stations. Absolutely loved it, so much easier getting my dog in and out and less scary for her than the big metal tubs. We will definitely be back throughout the summer as my pup enjoys mud puddles at the park
