Me and my daughter bought a guinea pig from this location and was told that it was a female. A few months later I found out it was a male because my other 2 guinea pigs were pregnant. I reached back out to the store to see if they could assist taking some of the male babies because of the obvious. I was told it shouldn't be a problem and to call back later to speak with the son and that they were terribly sorry for the inconvenience. I called back to speak with the son, was put on hold for 20 min and no one came to the phone. I hung up and called back in and the son of the owner answered the phone. I explained the situation and he proceeded to tell me that they can't guarantee the sex of the animal (even though the previous employee did) and he could not help me. He showed no remorse and didn't seem to care at all about the issue his employee had called. I now have 9 guinea pigs, no stores take them ( I have called many) and I have to pay $25 per guinea pig to "re-home" them at a shelter, the guinea pig I bought only cost $20, very disappointed with how the situation was handled. I used to shop here and refer people all the time, lost a good spending customer. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY I DO NOT “FEEL” AS THOUGH I WAS TOLD OTHERWISE I WAS TOLD OTHERWISE

Great local pet store with good staff, great food variety and reasonable prices

This place is hands down the best animal place I have ever been too! And from now on I will only shop here for my animal needs . I Found a bearded dragon on the streets we brought it home and tried to fed him, and give him the care it needed unfortunately we felt like it wasn’t helping we brought it here after being turned down from the reptile store on ulmerton (horrible place don’t go there! ) anyways I walked in to pet safari and immediately two ladies who I didn’t catch their names but without hesitation they jumped in to save this bearded dragon anyway that they could ! They have hearts of gold! They care deeply about every animal big or small, fur or no fur they are amazing! Hands down the best place ! They care and we need more people like them who care deeply about every animal that comes in their care ! Thank you pet safari for caring after every animal that crosses your path!

I love this place! The owner is always nice to talk to and they have the cutest pup Tequlla Rose that comes to work. Always excited to go in to say hi !
