Amazing pet store, amazing staff. Drove over a hour just to come here. Felt welcomed as soon as you walked in and they had a HUGE variety of pets and supplies. Ending up buying two ferrets and a rat to join my other little rat friend. Highly recommend whether you are just looking for a cool place to stop by and browse or for your new furry friend. Thank you guys again!

I came here today to look at birds to see what they had in store and I was so impressed with the selection of animals! The employees were so kind and welcoming! Showed my baby girl Ella and my feather babies so much love! The cashier was a tattooed women she had a septum piercing.. she stood out to me the most, so knowledgeable and kind. She even trimmed my birds nails for me! So grateful will be back!

I won't lie i traveled 3 hours their and back home. It was worth it between the time w spent traveling and in the store. For starters very very clean and you can tell the animals were cared for. Next the staff very helpful the first interaction the kid knew a lot but wasn't afraid to say I'm not sure let me go check. Very happy with his service, then he handed us off to someone who helped us pick out proper toys and answered all questions about caring for our new rabit. He is now home named ozzy and is gonna have lots of attention. Thank you for a great experience and helping us pick our new adition to the family.

ANIMAL LOVERS PLEASE READ. I know it is long. I try to understand being ignorant on the matter and just simply enjoying looking at animals because they are adorable. But I urge you to reconsider by reading my review. I visited NJ Exotic Pets just now and am in tears and heartbreak. Do we think this is right? To allow a giant iguana and tegu to live the rest of their lives in misery in a tank the size of their bodies, unable to even fully turn around? Tanks with dead animals, covered in mites, and gnats from being disgustingly dirty and neglected? I was holding back tears and anger the entire time I was in this store, because of the state I saw each animal in. They were stressed, depressed, anxious, most of them trying to escape, their tiny and neglected cages. If you love animals like you say you do, PLEASE go sign the petition to have this place shut down. Or at the very least, please do not purchase or visit this place. The lack of empathy for these innocent babies is absolutely horrifying and I’m ashamed of the world we live in. I am going to attach photos of the animals, depressed and not moving due to fear and anxiety, roaches for sale covered in mites, and a tank with a frog dead and decomposing in the tank. I know there is nothing I can do myself about the treatment of animals in this world and that people view them as novelties and not living beings, most with the capacity to feel and love, but I am hoping that this review will allow some people to see the ignorance and feel the same way I do when walking into places like this. If these pictures don’t alarm you, I urge you to look up the proper care and includes for these species and you will see that this is abuse. Please, please, have some compassion. I hope this place gets its act together for the poor animals sake. Thank you for reading. ❤️
