The 1 time I met the owner he was very nice. I picked up recommended food for my new puppy. Fast forward a few months later and that same food (Origen) is never in stock, the young employees working there have no knowledge on products and no idea when the food will be back in stock. Kind of disappointing as it is a small yet promising store. Always want to support small local businesses but I don’t want to keep risking if the food will be in stock or not. Orijen is a great product but going to start ordering direct online.

Welcome to Newfound Pet Center - Franklin
For pet owners residing in Franklin, New Hampshire, and the surrounding areas, Newfound Pet Center - Franklin, situated at 760 Central St Suite 1, Franklin, NH 03235, USA, presents itself as a local "Pet Store Near Me" offering a range of pet-related goods. As a small business, it aims to serve the community by providing convenient access to pet food and supplies. Based on the available customer reviews, the store has shown promise, particularly in its initial interactions and the helpfulness of at least one staff member, but also faces challenges in consistent stock availability and product knowledge among some employees.
The physical environment of Newfound Pet Center - Franklin, being a smaller local store, likely offers a more intimate and community-focused atmosphere compared to larger chain pet stores. While specific details about the store's layout and ambiance are not provided in the reviews, it can be inferred that the space is organized to display various pet food brands, treats, toys, and other essential supplies for common household pets like dogs and cats. The size might allow for a more curated selection of products, potentially focusing on quality and perhaps locally sourced items.
One of the initial positive aspects highlighted in the reviews is the owner's demeanor. A customer mentioned that the one time they met the owner, he was "very nice." This positive initial interaction can create a favorable impression and encourage local support for a small business. Furthermore, the store seems to offer recommendations, as this customer picked up "recommended food" for their new puppy, suggesting that the owner or staff at the time provided guidance on product selection.
Another significant positive aspect, particularly for a customer who moved to the area, is the presence of a helpful staff member, described as "a lady who runs the store." This employee is commended for being "super helpful" and for introducing the customer to a new pet food that they have continued to purchase. This level of personalized service and willingness to assist customers in finding the right products for their pets is a key strength of small local businesses. The customer also appreciates that this staff member goes "out of her way" to check for food stock when called ahead, demonstrating a commitment to good customer service.
However, the reviews also point out areas where Newfound Pet Center - Franklin could improve. One recurring issue is the inconsistency in stock availability, specifically regarding the Orijen brand dog food recommended to a customer. This customer noted that the food is "never in stock" months after their initial purchase, which is a significant inconvenience. Consistent availability of popular and recommended products is crucial for building customer loyalty.
Another concern raised is the lack of product knowledge among some of the "young employees working there." The customer who experienced the stock issues also mentioned that these employees have "no knowledge on products and no idea when the food will be back in stock." This lack of information can be frustrating for customers who rely on pet store staff for guidance on nutrition and other pet-related needs. Investing in product training for all employees is essential to ensure they can effectively assist customers and provide accurate information.
Despite these challenges, the customer who praised the helpful lady running the store also noted that Newfound Pet Center - Franklin has a "really good selection of foods for your fur babies." This suggests that while stock inconsistencies may occur with certain brands, the store generally offers a variety of options to cater to different dietary needs and preferences. The customer also mentioned that the prices are "a little pricey but all worth it," indicating a perceived value in the quality of the products and the positive customer service they have received from the helpful staff member.
Given the limited information, it's challenging to detail all the services offered at Newfound Pet Center - Franklin. However, typical offerings of a pet store would include a range of pet food for various animals (primarily dogs and cats, based on the reviews), treats, toys, grooming supplies, and potentially other accessories like leashes, collars, and bedding. The focus seems to be primarily on food and essential supplies rather than live animals, based on the lack of mention of pet sales or adoptions in the reviews.
Promotional information is not provided in the customer reviews. To gain insight into any current promotions, loyalty programs, or special offers at Newfound Pet Center - Franklin, it would be best to contact the store directly at the provided address or phone number. Small businesses often rely on word-of-mouth and local engagement to promote their offerings.
In conclusion, Newfound Pet Center - Franklin in Franklin, NH, presents a mixed picture based on the limited customer feedback. On the one hand, it offers the potential benefits of a local small business, including personalized service from at least one dedicated staff member and a good selection of pet foods. The positive initial interaction with the owner also suggests a commitment to customer satisfaction. However, the store needs to address issues related to consistent stock availability of popular items and ensure that all staff members have adequate product knowledge to effectively serve their customers. For local pet owners who value supporting small businesses and have experienced positive interactions with the helpful staff, Newfound Pet Center - Franklin may be a viable option. However, addressing the noted shortcomings will be crucial for the store to fully realize its promising potential and build long-term customer loyalty. It would be advisable for potential customers to visit the store or call ahead to inquire about the availability of specific products and to gauge the level of service they receive.

Dec 05, 2024 · T DogAmazing location, I started coming here ever since I moved to the area, there’s a lady who runs the store and she’s super helpful, she introduced me to a new food for my pets and I have been going there ever since, I sometimes call ahead to make sure they have the food since I know they do shipments on certain days, but she always goes out of her to check for me and answer any questions that I may have. Amazing costumer service, really good selection of foods for your fur babies, a little pricey but all worth it, will continue to shop here
Dec 17, 2024 · Levi KrekuPlace sucks! So outrageously priced, they closed down the location in Franklin, with no notice. They only had crickets for sale rarely, they were usually 'out of them ' . Don't waste your time! Incompetent staff.
Mar 16, 2025 · LaceyGreat addition to our small city. The owners are super knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great inventory of products. And their greeter Molly is the best! Our Molly loves visiting and gives a 10 star review.
Jan 02, 2023 · Sheila CorneauI just got a beautiful baby boy guinea from Newfound Pet Center. I asked them if they would notify me when they got a male in, since my kids guinea pig recently lost his cage mate. They messaged me as soon as they got him. They were very kind and answered every question I had quickly. I will be coming back!
