I have a question for the producers of The Friskies canned cat food. We have been using this brand of cat food for4-5 years. When we started using it our cats loved the "Salmon Dinner" Pate'. In the last 18 months , maybe more but that long anyway , they want hardly eat the above mentioned.. Now We have been to Alaska many times and we can Salmon. I know the percent of Salmon meat is very low as it states on the can you use "The by products" Ok my problem is our cats want eat CHICKEN by products which I suspect is 85 percent of this SALMON DINNER. How can you by Law use that percent of Chicken byproducts and still call this product Salmon Dinner? Now--I as well as lots of other are now changing to another company for our cat food as it seems we can't count on Purina to be honest (allegedly) about what is in the the cans we buy. Which is very expensive, especialy when we have to through most of it out? I can't keep on doing this. We canned Salmon Byproducts when we were in Alaska so we know how byproducts looks and taste.

Welcome to Nestle Purina Pet Care Co
Hello, North Carolina pet owners! When you think about where your beloved furry friends get their nutrition, a company like Nestle Purina PetCare Co often comes to mind. Located in Charlotte, NC, at the FRENETTE BUILDING, 11016 Rushmore Dr, Charlotte, NC 28277, USA, Nestle Purina is a major player in the pet food industry. For local users in North Carolina, understanding the role and operations of such a significant entity is crucial, especially when making informed decisions about the food you provide to your pets.
It's important to clarify the nature of this particular location. Unlike a typical retail "pet store" where you might walk in to browse aisles of products, adopt a pet, or get grooming services, the Nestle Purina PetCare Co address in Charlotte primarily functions as a corporate or operational office. This means it's part of the broader infrastructure of a large pet food manufacturer, rather than a direct-to-consumer sales outlet. Understanding this distinction is vital for North Carolina locals to manage their expectations when looking for pet supplies or services.
As a major producer of well-known pet food brands, including Friskies, Purina plays a substantial role in the diets of countless pets across the nation, and certainly here in North Carolina. Their products are widely available at local grocery stores, large pet supply chains, and online retailers. Therefore, while you won't be purchasing a bag of kibble directly from their Rushmore Drive location, it represents a significant operational footprint of a company that influences the pet food landscape that impacts your daily choices.
For many North Carolina pet owners, questions about ingredients, product consistency, and nutritional value are paramount. Given Purina's scale, feedback from consumers, even if critical, becomes part of a larger conversation about pet food standards and transparency in manufacturing. This article aims to provide a factual overview of Nestle Purina PetCare Co's presence in Charlotte, addressing what locals might expect from such a facility and shedding light on common consumer queries and experiences. Our goal is to empower North Carolina pet owners with accurate information to help them navigate their pet food choices.
Nestle Purina PetCare Co's listed address in Charlotte, NC, is the FRENETTE BUILDING, 11016 Rushmore Dr, Charlotte, NC 28277, USA. This location places it within a commercial or office park setting in the southern part of Charlotte, an area known for its business developments and corporate offices.
For North Carolina locals, this address is situated within a well-developed part of Charlotte. Accessibility to this location would primarily be via personal vehicle, as it's typically found within suburban corporate centers rather than high-street retail areas. Rushmore Drive is accessible from major roads in the Charlotte area, connecting to a network of highways that serve the greater Mecklenburg County region. While public transportation in Charlotte is expanding, direct bus routes to specific corporate buildings within office parks can sometimes be less frequent than those serving more densely populated residential or commercial hubs.
It is important for North Carolina residents to understand that this is likely a business office, research facility, or distribution management center, and not a retail storefront. Therefore, while the physical location is accessible by standard means of transportation within Charlotte, it is not set up for direct public walk-in purchases or Browse of pet products. Locals should consider this when planning a visit, as the primary purpose of this address is not consumer sales or interaction.
Based on the nature of "Nestle Purina PetCare Co" and the address being a commercial building (FRENETTE BUILDING), this location in Charlotte, NC, functions as part of a large corporate entity, rather than a retail "pet store" offering direct services to consumers. Therefore, the "services offered" are not those you would typically find at a local pet shop.
- Corporate Operations: This location likely serves as an office for corporate management, sales, marketing, logistics, or administrative functions related to Nestle Purina's pet food business.
- Research and Development (Potential): Large pet food companies often have R&D facilities. While not explicitly confirmed for this specific address, it is a possibility that some form of product development or quality assurance might occur here or be managed from here.
- Distribution Management: It could be a hub for managing the distribution network of Purina products to various retail outlets across the region, rather than a direct distribution point for individual consumers.
- Customer Service Coordination: While direct customer service calls are typically routed to a centralized call center, administrative aspects of customer relations might be handled from such an office.
Crucially, the following services are NOT offered at this location for direct public interaction, which is vital for North Carolina locals to understand:
- Direct Pet Food Sales: You cannot purchase pet food or supplies directly from this address.
- Pet Adoption Services: This is not an animal shelter or rescue organization.
- Grooming Services: No pet grooming facilities are available.
- Veterinary Services: This is not a veterinary clinic.
- Pet Boarding/Daycare: These services are not provided.
Therefore, if a North Carolina pet owner is looking for a place to buy pet supplies, get their pet groomed, or seek veterinary care, this specific Nestle Purina PetCare Co address is not the appropriate destination. Its services are internal and business-to-business oriented within the pet food industry.
When considering "Nestle Purina PetCare Co" at 11016 Rushmore Dr, Charlotte, NC, it's essential to recognize that its "features" are those of a corporate or operational facility rather than a retail pet store. Therefore, the highlights relate to its role within the larger pet food industry, rather than consumer-facing attractions.
- Part of a Major Pet Food Manufacturer: This location is a segment of Nestle Purina, one of the largest and most well-known pet food companies globally. Its presence in Charlotte signifies a significant corporate footprint in North Carolina.
- Operational Hub: The facility likely serves as a key operational, administrative, or strategic hub for Purina's business activities in the Southeast region, contributing to the broader supply chain that brings pet food to local North Carolina stores.
- Contribution to Local Economy: As a corporate office, it contributes to the local Charlotte economy through employment and business operations, supporting the community indirectly.
- Focus on Pet Nutrition Research (Potential): While specific to this address, large pet food companies like Purina invest heavily in pet nutrition research and product development, which might be managed or directed from such corporate locations.
However, it's also critical to address the direct "features" or feedback from the provided customer review, which highlights a significant area of concern and is a "feature" in the sense of a notable characteristic that locals should be aware of:
- Consumer Concern Regarding Product Formulation: The provided customer review explicitly discusses a concern about the alleged change in formulation and ingredients of Friskies canned cat food, specifically "Salmon Dinner" pate. The customer questions the percentage of chicken byproducts used and its impact on the product's taste for their cats, leading them to consider changing brands. This feedback points to a significant consumer perception issue regarding product consistency and ingredient transparency. While not a physical "feature" of the building, it represents a very real and important "feature" of the company's product line and customer relations, directly impacting North Carolina pet owners who purchase these products.
- Implication of "Byproducts" Use: The review brings to light the common industry practice of using "byproducts" in pet food and how this is perceived by consumers, especially when it seems to impact palatability or expected flavor profiles.
Therefore, while the Nestle Purina PetCare Co location itself may be a standard corporate office, its most prominent "feature" for North Carolina locals, based on the provided data, is its connection to the broader discussion around pet food quality, ingredient transparency, and consumer satisfaction with widely distributed products like Friskies.
As a corporate or operational office of a major pet food manufacturer, the Nestle Purina PetCare Co location at 11016 Rushmore Dr, Charlotte, NC, does not offer promotions or special offers in the typical retail sense to individual consumers. This facility is not a storefront or a direct sales outlet.
Therefore, North Carolina locals should not expect to find sales, discounts, coupons, loyalty programs, or any other type of consumer-facing promotions directly at this address. Any special offers on Purina or Friskies products would be available through:
- Retailers: Major grocery stores, pet supply chains (like PetSmart, Petco), and independent pet stores across North Carolina that stock Purina products.
- Online Retailers: E-commerce platforms where pet food is sold.
- Manufacturer's Websites: Purina's official brand websites may occasionally offer printable coupons or digital promotions for their products, but these are redeemed through retail channels, not at their corporate offices.
- Third-Party Promotions: Sometimes, local North Carolina animal shelters, veterinarians, or pet-related events might have promotional tie-ins with Purina, but these are external to this specific corporate office.
It's important for locals to understand that if they are looking for deals or special pricing on pet food, they should visit their regular pet food retailers or check online sources. This particular Nestle Purina PetCare Co address serves a different function within the company's operations.
For individuals in North Carolina seeking to contact Nestle Purina PetCare Co, particularly with questions regarding their products, the provided contact information for this Charlotte location is as follows:
Address: FRENETTE BUILDING, 11016 Rushmore Dr, Charlotte, NC 28277, USA
Phone: (704) 544-5682
Mobile Phone: +1 704-544-5682
While these phone numbers are associated with the Charlotte office, it is typical for large corporations like Purina to have centralized customer service departments that handle product inquiries, feedback, and complaints. Therefore, if you are a North Carolina pet owner with a question about a specific product, its ingredients, or concerns like those mentioned in the customer review (e.g., about Friskies cat food formulation), it is often most effective to look for the consumer affairs or customer service contact information directly on the product packaging or on Purina's official corporate website. These centralized departments are specifically equipped to handle large volumes of consumer queries and provide detailed product information.
The phone numbers provided for the Charlotte office might connect to a general reception or specific business departments, rather than a direct consumer support line. Nonetheless, they represent an official point of contact for the company's presence in North Carolina.
For North Carolina locals, understanding the role of Nestle Purina PetCare Co at its Charlotte address (FRENETTE BUILDING, 11016 Rushmore Dr, Charlotte, NC 28277, USA) is crucial for managing expectations and navigating their pet care needs. It is important to emphasize that this location is not a retail pet store in the traditional sense, and therefore, its suitability for locals is not about direct shopping or immediate pet services.
Instead, its suitability for locals lies in its significance as a regional hub for a major pet food manufacturer that directly impacts the pet food options available in North Carolina. For pet owners in the state, Purina's presence signifies that a large-scale producer of widely accessible pet food products has operations within their local economy. This presence means that research, development, logistics, and corporate oversight that influence the pet food on store shelves are occurring relatively close by.
However, the provided customer review highlights a critical aspect of this company's interaction with locals: product quality and transparency. The concern about the alleged change in Friskies cat food formulation and the perceived dishonesty about ingredients (specifically the high percentage of chicken byproducts in a "Salmon Dinner" product) directly affects North Carolina pet owners who purchase these foods. This feedback makes the location suitable for locals primarily as a point of reference for addressing such concerns. While you cannot go to this office to return a product or get a refund, knowing the direct contact information for their regional presence can be valuable for formal complaints or detailed inquiries about product integrity.
In essence, for North Carolina locals, this Nestle Purina PetCare Co office is suitable not as a convenient shopping destination, but as a corporate entity that:
- Represents a significant part of the pet food supply chain that serves the state.
- Is a point of contact for substantial consumer feedback and concerns regarding product formulations and quality, which are vital issues for pet health.
- Contributes to the local economy through its corporate operations.
Therefore, if you are a North Carolina pet owner looking for direct pet supplies or services, this is not the place to visit. However, if you have in-depth questions, feedback, or concerns about the Purina products you purchase locally, knowing about their Charlotte corporate presence, and having access to the provided phone numbers, offers a pathway to engage directly with a representative of the company in your home state, which can be an important resource for consumer advocacy and information.
