Very clean, No smells or dirty cages, has a variety of animals such as rabbits, hedgehogs, lizard, bearded dragon, some spiders, hamsters, birds, a variety of baby corn snakes and a few ball pythons. It was a very nice store with many different animals i was surprised to see!! as-well as a decently sized aquarium side. Some of the decor is pricey but the pets are well priced, i think its well over worth it. I walked out with a baby albino corn snake on sale for only $85, and the people were nice. i suggest this place!!! Keep being amazing and caring well for the animals guys!!!:)))

Best In Pets Introduce

For pet owners in Elyria, Ohio, and the surrounding areas, finding a local "Pet Store Near Me" that caters to a diverse range of animal interests can be valuable. Best In Pets, located at 233 Abbe Rd N, Elyria, OH 44035, USA, presents itself as a pet store offering a variety of animals and supplies. Based on recent customer reviews, experiences appear to be mixed, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of the store.

One customer review describes Best In Pets as a very clean store with no noticeable smells or dirty cages. This positive feedback suggests that the store maintains a certain level of hygiene in its animal enclosures, which is an important factor for both the health of the animals and the comfort of customers. The reviewer also noted the surprising variety of animals available, including rabbits, hedgehogs, lizards, bearded dragons, some spiders, hamsters, birds, a variety of baby corn snakes, and a few ball pythons. This indicates that Best In Pets caters to a broad spectrum of pet enthusiasts, including those interested in more exotic pets. Additionally, the store features a "decently sized aquarium side," suggesting a selection of fish and related aquatic supplies.

However, another customer review presents a contrasting perspective on the care of the animals at Best In Pets, particularly the fish. This reviewer claims to have observed dead fish in approximately half of the tanks, raising serious concerns about the water quality and overall health management of the aquatic life. Furthermore, this customer recounts purchasing a dojo loach that was later discovered to be rotting and missing two fins, leading to a strong recommendation against visiting the store. This negative feedback points to potential issues with animal health assessment before sale and the general welfare of some of the animals, specifically the fish.

In terms of services and features, the first review mentions a "decently sized aquarium side," indicating that Best In Pets likely offers a range of fish, aquariums, and related supplies. The variety of animals available, as listed, is a significant feature for customers seeking specific types of pets. The reviewer also commented that while some of the decor items were pricey, the pets themselves were well-priced, suggesting a potential focus on competitive animal pricing. The positive interaction with the staff, described as "nice," is another feature that can contribute to a positive shopping experience, provided that all staff members are knowledgeable and attentive to animal welfare.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Best In Pets based on the provided reviews. The first reviewer mentioned purchasing a baby albino corn snake on sale for $85, which indicates that the store does occasionally offer discounts on certain animals. However, there is no broader information about ongoing promotions, loyalty programs, or seasonal sales. To inquire about any current promotions or specific pricing, it would be best to contact Best In Pets directly at (440) 366-5445 or +1 440-366-5445.

In conclusion, Best In Pets in Elyria, OH, is a local pet store that offers a diverse range of animals, including reptiles, small mammals, birds, and fish, as well as pet supplies. While one customer review praises the store's cleanliness and variety, another raises serious concerns about the care of the animals, particularly the fish, and the health of animals being sold. This conflicting feedback suggests that potential customers should exercise caution and perhaps observe the animals closely before making a purchase. For those interested in the variety of pets offered and potentially competitive pricing, Best In Pets at 233 Abbe Rd N may be worth a visit. However, it is advisable to personally assess the environment and the health of the animals, especially the fish, and to address any concerns with the staff directly. For the most accurate information on current animal availability, supplies, and any promotions, contacting the store directly is recommended.

This place takes terrible care of there animals mostly there fish if you take a look around the tanks you will see dead fish in about half of there tanks. I recently bought a dojo loach and didn’t realize he was rotting and missing two fins. Do not recommend this place !!!

A few years ago I bought the friendliest hamster here! I like how their cages are open for customers to reach in and handle them! I think hamsters sold here tend to be friendlier due to this because they are able to be handled more! Customers are able to reach in and pet them or pick them up if they want therefore this store is best to buy a hamster from verses petsmart or Petco etc where they don’t really get handled often at all

This shop is little more than a hole-in-the-wall. Inside it are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful animal lovers who want to help you find your next pet! Or several pets, in my case. The selection is vast for such a tiny place and it isn't one of the Big Box stores. I either go here or the Friendship APL for all my little friends. Check it out.

Very nice staff, but every fish I have ever bought from them has died within a week. I have 3 well established tanks, both salt and fresh water, and we do not have problems with losing fish from other places. I bought 7 female guppies and an anemone 5 days ago and spent over $60 and every single one is dead as of this morning. There are dead fish in almost every tank they have, and the quantity is surprising for sure. I can't speak for the rest of the animals they carry, but I know I will not be purchasing fish from them in the future.
